Cellular South Releases Their Third Android Device, the HTC Desire

It took them long enough! Cellular South in the USA has finally released the HTC Desire which is their third Android device. This one sports Nexus One specs along with Android 2.1 and the Sense UI. The smartphone is now available for $149.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. Check it out on their website here.

Casio G'zOne Ravine Rugged Handset Should Be Hitting Verizon In a Few Weeks

Another Casio G'zOne handset is headed to Verizon and this new one will be called the Ravine. This handset will be a bit rugged and will have PTT (push-to-talk) functionalities. Specs are unknown right now but the rumoured release date is said to be on Wednesday, September 29th - because it says so on the LCD display of the phone.

According to DigiTimes, Apple could be preparing a new iPad for Q1 2011. This is because there are a bunch of companies who are lining up to hopefully be the touchscreen supplier for the next iPad. This is just a rumour right now so don't get too excited. Luckily, this could be true because we've been hearing about a smaller iPad for a while now.

Lenovo Launching the Android-Based LePad Tablet and Hybrid IdeaPad U1 In January

In January 2011, Lenovo will try to start the year off with a bang. The company has announced that their Android-based LePad tablet and their hybrid IdeaPad U1 netbook / tablet will be available during that time frame. That means we'll definitely be seeing a near-final build of both devices at CES 2011, which is right after New Year's. Unfortunately, the U1 might still be packing an Atom CPU and both devices will only be available in China initially. Who knows if any other region will be getting their shot at this.

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook With Dual-Core Atom Available On Amazon

Even though notebook and netbook shipments are starting to decrease Asus has just released their latest netbook, the Eee PC 1015PEM. This netbook is riding the new wave with its dual-core Intel Atom N550 CPU. Other specs should be similar to you though, a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display, a 250GB HDD, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, WiFi n support, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1.3MP webcam, a battery life of up to 13 hours, and Windows 7 Starter Edition. HTC Desire HD Hits the FCC, the European Model

Something that was recently announced has just been spotted at the FCC and it's the HTC Desire HD. Sadly, this exact model doesn't have support for 3G use in North America so this one is headed to Europe. Over the next couple of days / weeks we could see one that does have support for 850 / 1900MHz connectivity though so don't worry. Check it out at the FCC if you're interested.

MSI GX660 and GX660R Gaming Notebooks Now Available In the US

In July, MSI unveiled two gaming notebooks, the GX660 and GX660R. Of course, the price and release date weren't mentioned. Good news? It's now available. They both feature the same look so the only difference is what you see and what you can't see (the hardware inside). On the GX660 you'll get a Core i5-540M CPU, a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display, ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 500GB HDD, USB 3.0 / HDMI ports, a 720p HD webcam, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

The higher end model is the GX660R which takes the specs to another level. It sports a 15.6-inch LED-backlit Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display, an Intel Core i7-740QM CPU, ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD, and a Blu-ray drive.

The GX660 is available for $1,449.99 and the GX660R is a bit more expensive at $1,749.99. Check them both out on MSI's website.

Dell's 30-Inch UltraSharp U3011 Now Available For $1,499

We knew this monitor was on the way from Dell and it's now available. If you're willing to spend $1,499 for a 30-inch monitor with an IPS display then look no further than the Dell UltraSharp U3011. This one packs a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, 370 nits of brightness, two DVI-D / DisplayPort / two HDMI inputs, a 7ms response time, and a 178-degree viewing angle. Of course, now Apple has their 27-inch Cinema Display so it's up to you whether you want to pay an extra $500 for 3 more inches and a slightly larger resolution. Check it out on Dell.

If you're looking for a new monitor then you should probably keep in mind that Apple has released their latest one. Their 27-inch Cinema Display is now available and sports an IPS display with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. It's going for just under $1,000 right now so check it out on Apple.
