Atmel Creates Chip That Will Handle Large Capacitive Touchscreen Displays
Atmel has introduced a new chip that will be capable of creating capacitive touchscreen displays as large as you want them to be. "The first controller, the mST224, has 224 nodes that enable it to track multiple inputs and can redraw the screen in just 4ms. Like all maXTouch products, everything is integrated onto a single chip, without the need for external components, minimizing both the cost and the footprint. Multiple mXT224 controllers can be used in very large screens." For everything you need to know, check out the link below, it's pretty thorough.

Sharp Creating Laser For 75GB and 100GB Blu-Ray Discs
Sharp isn't exactly known for their Blu-ray advancements, but they look like they're working pretty hard. Sharp has introduced a new technology that will increase the capacity of a Blu-ray disc to 75GB and 100GB - "from the current standard of 50GB." This technology seems pretty complicated, but if you're really interested then enjoy the read here. As of right now, we don't know when this technology will burst onto the mainstream scene, so we'll have to play the waiting game.
Update: Sharp is actually creating a laser that would be capable of reading 75 and 100GB Blu-ray discs.

Windows Mobile 7 To Be A No-Show At PDC This Year
As I’m sure you know, Microsoft and its partners are squarely focused on introducing the Windows phone brand through the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 in October [October 6], which includes working closely with ISVs and developers to add even greater value to the Windows Mobile platform and new business opportunities for its mobile channel ecosystem. To properly set your expectations, wanted to let you know that Microsoft is not planning any sessions for PDC that look past the Windows Mobile OS in market at that time.
