BlackBerry Torch 2 Hits the FCC, Headed To North America

BlackBerry fans should be happy about what was spotted at the FCC today. The unannounced BlackBerry Torch 2 was just spotted and it features 850/1900MHz bands so it's ready for an AT&T release - as well as the major carriers in Canada. Specs aren't official yet but hopefully RIM will announce it soon. Check it out at the FCC.


Samsung Galaxy S II 4G Officially Hitting Bell On July 21st

The Samsung Galaxy S II 4G superphone will be hitting Bell before the end of this month! The carrier has just announced that they'll be releasing it on July 21st, it says so on their website! Dell Latitude XT3 Notebook Tablet Hits the FCC

If you're looking for a convertible notebook / tablet device then you might want to wait around for the Dell Latitude XT3. The device has just hit the FCC and will be packing a dual-core 2.5GHz Core i5 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-inch matte display so you'll be able to use this one outside without a bunch of glare. The price and release date for this one is still unknown but you can check it out at the FCC if you have time to kill.


Telus Releases the LG Optimus Black Skype Edition For $49.99

Looks like Telus has released their latest smartphone, the LG Optimus Black Skype Edition. The smartphone is available in Canada right now for $49.99 on a 3-year contract and $399.99 contract-free. The handset packs a 4-inch NOVA display, WiFi support, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 2MP camera for those Skype video calls, and Android 2.2. Check it out at Telus, Best Buy, and Future Shop.

LG Finally Announces the Optimus Net and Optimus Pro

LG has just announced the two phones that have been leaking lately. Yes, they have announced the Optimus Net and the Optimus Pro which are both headed to Europe this Summer. The Optimus Net features a 3.2-inch display, an 800MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 3MP camera, and an FM radio. The Optimus Pro, on the other hand, features a 2.8-inch display, an 800MHz CPU, a 3MP camera, a QWERTY keyboard, WiFi / aGPS support, an FM radio, and Bluetooth. Both handsets are running Android, obviously, and you should see them soon.


Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro Hits the FCC

Not to be confused with the XPERIA X10 Mini Pro. the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro has just hit the FCC. Okay, well, I guess that didn't help things. This handset has just been spotted at the FCC and it should be on target for Europe. This handset features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, and the Android OS. Rogers Releasing the HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D This Summer

Rogers in Canada has just announced that they'll be launching two Android 3D smartphones this Summer. The carrier has just told everyone that they'll be releasing the HTC EVO 3D as well as the LG Optimus 3D. Both of these smartphones pack a 4.3-inch 3D display, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 5MP 3D camera, a front-facing camera, and the Android OS.

However, there are a few differences. The EVO 3D packs a qHD display which is a higher resolution than the WVGA one found on the Optimus 3D. The EVO also packs a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU along with Android 2.3 while the Optimus has a slower dual-core 1GHz CPU and just Android 2.2.

Rejoice! The HP Touchpad which runs webOS 3.0 is now available if you live in Canada! The tablet is now available for $449.99 (16GB model) and $549.99 (32GB model) at a bunch of different stores. The tablet itself features a 9.7-inch display with a 1,024 x 768 resolution, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and WiFi / Bluetooth support.
