MIUTech Announces HDPC Smartphone / MID Hybrid Device

Labels:

This actually looks like a pretty nifty device. This handset looks quite large in the pictures, but it's actually 6.06 x 2.95 x 0.91 inches and weighs only 10.3 ounces. The specs are not too upsetting either. This device has: an external 2.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 320 x 240 resolution, an internal 4.8-inch touchscreen display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz Z530 CPU, a QWERTY keyboard, an ARM9 CPU, a 32GB SSD, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, USB connectivity, GPS support, a microSD card slot, T-DMB, HDMI / HD audio outputs, and a whopping three cameras on-board - a 5MP camera and both an internal and external VGA camera for video calls. This HDPC smartphone / MID hybrid device is running Windows CE for cell phone functionality and Windows XP for the MID aspect.

As of right now, MIUTech is looking for distributors to, well, distribute this handy device. The basic unit will cost $500 USD and the premium model will cost $900 - or so they say.

Third Batch of Unknown Android MID-560 Pictures Leak Out

Labels: , , ,

The third batch of photos for that Android MID has just been revealed. It's been unofficially named the MID-560 at this point. There's not much here, but it does off the virtual QWERTY keyboard, which I believe is something new. I'm definitely interested in the big unveiling of this device. If you want to go back a little bit, you can check out photos from Batch 1 here and Batch 2 here.
