Remember the eviGroup Wallet MID? Well, if you do and you've been waiting for it for this long you should probably note that the it's now available for €199 ($246 USD). Sadly, it's running Android 1.6 and it has a Samsung ARM 6410 533/667MHz CPU. This MID sports a 5-inch resistive touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, 1GB of flash storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi a/b/g/n, a miniUSB / a 3.5mm headphone port, an integrated microphone / speaker, and a 2,000mAh battery that should last for 24 hours on standby - less than the iPad. The matte version is the one that costs €199 but the chrome version will cost €219 ($271 USD).

eviGroup Wallet MID Goes Into Production, Will Be Launching In May

Labels: , , , , ,

Apparently the eviGoup Wallet MID running Android is set to hit the market in May (which starts tomorrow) for €199 ($264 USD). This MID has reportedly hit the factory and should be ready for a launch over the next couple of weeks. The sad part about all of this is that when the company tried to contact Google they got nothing back, so there appears to be no access to the Android Market.

eviGroup Redesigns Their Android-Based Wallet MID, Delayed Until January

Labels: , , , , , ,

I'm sure you remember the eviGroup Android Wallet MID. If you do you should know that they have slightly redesigned the way that it looks - and I actually like the old look better. This MID was supposed to be available this month, but they have delayed the launch until January. This MID will feature a front-facing webcam this time around. The internal specs appear to be the same though, so don't worry.

Labels: , , , , ,

According to the latest unconfirmed news, the Android-based eviGroup Wallet MID will actually be powered by an Intel Atom CPU and will also feature more upgrades over the current Wallet MID. That's definitely great news, but unfortunately we don't know what these "new upgrades" will be.

Remember that mysterious 5-inch Android MID that we identified as an eviGroup device. Well, it is reportedly going to be available in France this December for about $300 to $400 USD. The eviGroup Wallet MID has: a 5-inch touchscreen display, 3G / WiFi / GPS support, a TNT TV tuner, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a built-in camera, and two miniUSB OTG ports. It'll be available in France at first - like I said - but they're looking to release it to other places in the future as well. Still interested?

Unknown Android MID Revealed to Be a Rockchip Concept Device

Labels: , , , , ,

I know you haven't forgotten about the mysterious Android MID and I have some bad news for you. Apparently, this device may never hit the market because it has been revealed that - as of right now - it's just a concept to display Rockchip's new RK2808 chipset. This chipset is said to be capable of displaying 720p video into a smaller kind of [Apple-like] design. Anyways, if you're still interested in this concept, you can take a look at the link below for two videos on this device.

Maybe that rumoured 6-inch iPod tablet will have this chip - just taking a shot in the dark here.

Mysterious Android MID-560 is the eviGroup Wallet MID

Labels: , , , , ,

The mysterious and still quite unknown Android MID-560 is eviGroup's Wallet MID. It could launch by the end of the year for just €200 ($286 USD) which is pretty darn cheap. They've described this device as a "unit halfway between a cellphone and a TabletPC with a 5-inch screen." We still don't know the complete specs of this device, but it does have: a camera, a 5-inch touchscreen display, GPS support, and a card slot. Let's hope that this hits the US because this looks like it could be pretty solid.

Third Batch of Unknown Android MID-560 Pictures Leak Out

Labels: , , ,

The third batch of photos for that Android MID has just been revealed. It's been unofficially named the MID-560 at this point. There's not much here, but it does off the virtual QWERTY keyboard, which I believe is something new. I'm definitely interested in the big unveiling of this device. If you want to go back a little bit, you can check out photos from Batch 1 here and Batch 2 here.

Unknown Android MID Now Known as the MID-560

Labels: , , ,

Apparently, that Android MID that we've now seen twice (here and here) has just been identified as the MID-560. As of right now, I don't have any confirmation from any other websites, but we'll stick with this for now. This Android MID "has an ARM11 chip with a Samsung 6410 mobile system", it plays audio / video, has GPS support, and a Trans-Flash memory card slot. That's all we know for now; we still don't know the maker.

Android MID Pops Up Again, Pictured With Vaio P Cameo

Labels: , , ,

Four days ago, an unknown Android MID surfaced and no one had a clue what it was. Clearly, more photos of the same MID have just popped up again, which should get your blood flowing. It's got a very simplistic design, iPod Touch-like I must say. According to Pocketables, it's about 4.5 inches and long and 3 inches wide - since he compared it to his own Vaio P. The above photo tells us that there's probably an SD card slot somewhere and this device could actually have phone functions. I don't see a secondary camera on this MID, so video calling could be out of the picture. There are two more pictures below and one more photo if you check out the link.

Unnamed MID Running Android, 4.3 to 5-Inch Touchscreen Display

Labels: , , ,

Another supposed "iPod Touch rival" has been circulating the Chinese interwebs. This unnamed MID is running Android and comes equipped with: a 4.3 to 5-inch touchscreen display, 3G / WiFi support, and a Rockchip CPU. Details on this MID are scarce, but various sources are saying that it's "expected to perform better than Apple's iPod Touch." Although I love Android, absolutely nothing will trump the iPod Touch in North America even though I dislike Apple. I want a Zune HD.
