It was unveiled more than a month ago and it looks like you can now pre-order the Toshiba Portege R830 if you want to. This 13.3-inch notebook features a 1,366 x 768 LED-backlit display, an Intel Core i3 CPU ($30 more for a Core i5-2410M), 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a DVD burner, and just integrated Intel graphics which is the bad news. Furthermore, pre-orders for this notebook start at $899 so if you don't need to do any gaming then you might want to check it out. Check it out on Toshiba if you're in need for a new notebook.

Engadget has managed to confirm that there will be an 11.6-inch model of the Samsung 9 Series notebook. This popped up late last night on Provantage and their contact was able to confirm that it'll stay true to the specs that leaked so it's sporting an Intel Core i3-380UM CPU for sure. Price and release date haven't been officially announced yet.

Acer is back at it again, this time unveiling a plain old ultraportable notebook. Dubbed the U36, this notebook features Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options, Nvidia's Optimus tech, and a 4-cell battery that will reportedly last 10 hours thanks to Asus' Super Hybrid Engine (whatever that is). The body is said to be about 0.75 inches thick and it weighs around 3.2 pounds. The release date and price is unknown right now but we know that it'll be available in both silver and black colours.

Lenovo has just released their latest notebook and it's the one that leaked last week. That's right, the IdeaPad U260 ultraportable notebook is available right now for as little as $999 - $100 more than expected. The base model features a 12.5-inch display (1,366 x 768 resolution), an Intel Core i3-380UM CPU, Intel HD graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB HDD, Bluetooth / WiFi support, a multitouch trackpad, an integrated webcam, and a chiclet keyboard. The body is just 0.7-inches and it only weighs 3 pounds. This is a bit chunkier than the MacBook Air but you get a bit more power with the same price tag if you can handle Windows 7. If you're willing to upgrade the CPU inside to a Core i5-470UM then the whole machine will cost you $1,099. Check it out on Lenovo if you're interested.

Asus has just unveiled two new notebooks, the 15.6-inch (1,366 x 768 resolution) N53JN and the 17.3-inch (1,600 x 900 resolution) N73JN. Both notebooks pack the same spec sheet, except for the displays, that is. They pack Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options, Nvidia's Optimus technology, LED-backlit displays, Nvidia GeForce 325M / 400M GPU options, DirectX 11 support, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA/USB port, HDMI output, audio jacks, a possible Blu-ray drive, and Bang & Olufsen audio. In Europe, you'll be able to pick up the N53JN for anywhere between £649.99 ($1,000 USD) and £999 ($1,537 USD), while the N73JN will cost you £1,099 ($1,698 USD).

Two more notebooks in Asus' own UL Series looks like they're now available in the USA if you want to scoop them up. The first one is the 12.1-inch Asus UL20FT while the other is the 14-inch UL80JT. Sadly, they're both running Intel Core i3-330UM 1.2GHz CPUs so they're not all that powerful. The smaller notebook also packs 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 320GB HDD, integrated Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics, and other standard notebook specs. The larger notebook features 4GB of DDR3 RAM as a standard, a 500GB HDD, an HDMI port, and Nvidia 310M graphics. The UL20FT is available for $629 on ExcaliberPC, while the UL80JT is available for $899 on Amazon.

Four new notebooks as a part of Gateway's new NS Series has just been unveiled. The first one we'll talk about is the 11.6-inch NS10 notebook which features Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options along with integrated Intel HD graphics. The larger three models are better, there's the 13.3-inch NS30, 14-inch NS41, and the 15.6-inch NS51. All three of these notebooks pack Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics, an LED-backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, and up to a 640GB HDD / 160GB SSD. Of course, there are essentials like WiFi / 3G / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a multi-card reader, an optical drive, a multitouch trackpad, up to an 8-hour battery life, and the choice of OS is Windows 7 Home Professional (32 or 64-bit). All of these notebooks will be available in the next week or so since it's pegged for a mid-July launch.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre A300 hasn't even been out for that long but it was kind of upsetting to see that it didn't sport Intel Core 2010 CPU options. Thankfully, they've done just that with the 21.5-inch A310 all in one PC that'll be hitting Japan on July 17th. Just about the only upgrade is the CPU which will be an Intel Core i3-350M 32nm chip. If you're interested, then you'll be able to get it for ¥109,000 ($1,243 USD) - this includes the external DVD rewriter Engadget points out.

If you live in the US, then you can now pick up the HP Envy 14 notebook. This notebook, in its base model, packs a recently released Intel Core i3-370M 2.4GHz CPU, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, a supposed 8-hour battery life, and Windows 7. Check it out on HP here, starting at $1,099.99. Of course, if you want to spend more then you can get a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. Sadly, that'll cost you a whopping $2,139.99.

A bunch of new Gateway laptops are about to hit the US; these include the ID Series notebooks and the LT Series netbooks. The 14-inch ID49 and 15.6-inch ID59 notebooks will be available in a couple of weeks with a base price of around $800. They'll both be packing the awesome glowing touchpads and you'll find Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options along with Nvidia's Optimus graphics. The LT23 netbook will be packing a 10.1-inch display, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, and Windows 7. This netbook will be available for $329 soon and Engadget has a bunch of pictures of all of the laptops if you check out their site.

A new all in one PC from HP has just been introduced and it's the 200xt. This is like their 200t all in one PC but it's sporting this year's Intel Core CPUs so that's definitely a welcomed upgrade. This is just about the only new PC they released today but they did update almost their whole desktop line-up. They've updated their Pavilion and Slimline Series to bring AMD Sempron / Phenom / Core i5 CPU options, while the Pavilion Elite has been upgraded for Core i7 options. Although, the official announcement is set for June 21st, Dell has announced a new line-up of notebooks, the Inspiron R Series. These will come in 14, 15, and 17-inch models along with Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options, discrete ATI Radeon (1GB) graphics, up to a 640GB HDD, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, an integrated webcam, a 6-cell battery, and optional Intel WiDi support. The 14-inch model pictured above doesn't have the numeric keypad but the larger (15 and 17) models do have them. Thankfully, these notebooks start at just $449, so check out what Dell had to say below.

Well, people in Malaysia can now get the updated Alienware M11x notebook. This iteration comes complete with Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options along with Nvidia's Optimus technology. They're starting at RM 3,699 ($1,110 USD) right now (here), but maybe the US site will get it tomorrow - seeing how it's already Tuesday, June 8th in Malaysia already. We'll have to wait and see.

Update: Engadget has just updated their post and they've mentioned that the US has got the upgrade as well. You can now get this notebook with some better CPU options. For $949 you can get this notebook with a Core i5-520UM.

There's a rumour going around that Asus has another thin-and-light notebook up their sleeve, the UL20FT. It should be fairly similar to the UL20A (pictured above) with its 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 but inside you'll find one major difference. The UL20FT will reportedly feature an Intel Celeron U3400 CPU as a standard but you'll be able to update that to an Intel Core i3-330UM 1.2GHz CPU. There's no Turbo Boost on this CPU but it does have Asus' own Turbo33 technology. Inside you should find up to 4GB of RAM, non-upgradeable integrated graphics (big let down for some), and up to a 500GB HDD. The 6-cell battery that this notebook will use should last you around 8 hours. You should expect this notebook at Computex next week.

Amazon has just put up a recently refreshed HP TouchSmart tm2 notebook tablet. In case you need a refresher, the tm2 sports an Intel Core i3-330M 2.13GHz CPU, a 12.1-inch touchscreen swiveling WXGA LED-backlit display, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD, an integrated Intel graphics, a 5-in-1 card reader, an Ethernet port, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, three USB 2.0 / HDMI / VGA ports, audio jacks, an integrated webcam, and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). Of course, this should be available in the near future with a Core i5 CPU so maybe you'll want to wait for that if you need more power. Check it out here for $949.99 - just pre-orders for now.

Samsung has unveiled a bit of stuff today and this post will focus on their business oriented P580 notebook. It packs a 15.6-inch LED-backlit matte display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options, Nvidia GeForce GT 330M graphics, and 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB). It'll weigh 2.5kg (5.51 pounds), so it's pretty portable but it's not the lightest notebook around. Of course, the notebook also has Windows 7, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, three USB 2.0 ports, and an eSATA / USB port. The price and release date seems to be absent for now.
