Finally the Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook has found its way into the US - special thanks to Amazon. They're offering the netbook for $484 right now and it'll ship with a 12.1-inch display along with Nvidia's Ion graphics. Inside you'll also find 2GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD. Unfortunately, you won't find Optimus technology in here which definitely sucks. Check it out on Amazon here if you want.

Finally, you can now pre-order the Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook if you live in the US. On ExcaliberPC (here) you can pre-order the netbook for $499 and it's expected to ship on June 11th. In case you forgot, this netbook features a 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, Nvidia Ion 2 graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 0.3MP webcam, some USB ports, an HDMI output, a 6-cell battery (around 6 hours of battery life), and Windows 7 Home Premium. This model should have the Optimus technology, but the product page doesn't mention it so do some more research first.

The Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook has just made its way to Amazon Germany's website here and they're taking pre-orders for it. Sadly, we know that this netbook does not have Nvidia's Optimus technology but there could be some people who are still interested in it. If you are, it's going for €479 ($608 USD) but the shipping date wasn't mentioned. You should already know that this netbook packs a 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, Nvidia Ion 2 graphics, a 6-cell battery, an HDMI output, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Maybe you should wait for the 1215N if you don't want this one.

The Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook is one of the first netbooks to launch with the next-gen Nvidia Ion graphics, but it looks like it won't be sporting the Optimus technology that Nvidia has to offer. If you were waiting for the next-gen Ion graphics along with the Optimus technology it now looks like the 1201PN netbook isn't the way to go. Instead a new Eee PC has popped up in Italy.

The Asus Eee PC 1215N will be hitting the shelves in the next couple of months - in June - and it'll be the successor to the 1201PN, which launches in May. The 1215N will be launching with Nvidia's Optimus technology, the next-gen Ion graphics, and the dual-core Atom N500 CPU.

Both the Asus Eee PC 1201PN and the Acer Aspire One 532G have been spotted on an e-tailer in France and it looks like the US won't be getting them until late May / early June. Prices weren't mentioned, but they're still a month away. You can't pre-order either of them yet so you'll have to wait for a little bit. Both of these netbooks are packing the next-generation Ion, so they're definitely something to look out for.

It looks like two new netbooks with the next-generation Ion graphics have just surfaced on an online store in France. The Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook is reportedly set to launch on May 1st, while the Acer Aspire One 532G netbook is set to launch on May 14th. They're looking to retail for €369 ($504 USD) and €499 ($681 USD), respectively.

The 1201PN (here) packs a 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 2GB of RAM, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, a 320GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, an HDMI port, and a 6-cell battery. The 532G (here) packs pretty much the same specs, but has a smaller 10.1-inch LED-backlit display..

Asus has just shown off a couple more netbooks that might quench your thirst. The first one is above and that's the 1005PR. It's sporting an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, a 10.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, the Express Gate "Instant On" OS (8-second boot time), and a 6-cell battery (48Wh for 9 hours of uptime or 63Wh for 11 hours of uptime). Release details weren't mentioned.

Here's the update of their own 1201N netbook, the Eee PC 1201PN. This one sports a 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, Nvidia Ion 2 (branded as ION), 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, 500GB of online storage, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, an HDMI output, Windows 7, and a 6-cell battery (63Wh) but the battery life wasn't mentioned. Release details weren't mentioned on this as well, but it could be available in April.
