MTS is set to launch two new handsets in the near future and they're going to be kicking off their "4G" network on March 31st. The two handsets that will be available is the Motorola Spice and the Nokia (6790) Surge. Prices and exact release dates are still unknown but they should be available in the next month or so.

Rogers has had the Nokia 6790 Surge for a while now and they though that today would be a good day to release a new colour so they did just that. The Surge now comes in a new colour, red, and everything else stays the same. It still packs a 2.4-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, and a microSD card slot. If you want to pick one up it's available for $19.99 on a 3-year contract, $69.99 on a 2-year, $199.99 on a 1-year, and $249.99 contract-free. Check it out on Rogers.

A couple of phones on Canada's Rogers has just gone through a price drop today. They're all listed below so I won't even bother listing it myself - thanks to Mobile Syrup. All of this great news is accompanied by the ZTE 636 and the Sony Ericsson MD 400 Rocket Sticks which will retail for free on a 1-year contract from now until May 1st, 2010.

It looks like Rogers has just released the Nokia Surge in their stores. This handset comes packed with: a 2.4-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera with 4x digital zoom, GPS / Bluetooth 2.0 support, and a microSD card slot. The pricing details are below, courtesy of Mobile Syrup.

Rogers is starting to get their shipments of the Nokia Surge 6790 up here in Canada, which means the launch is imminent. It's expected to retail on $49.99 CAD on a 3-year contract, $99.99 on a 2-year contract, $199.99 on a 1-year contract, and $279.99 contract-free. We don't know when it will launch, but it should be sometime this week / before October is over.

It looks like the Curve 8520 isn't the only handset Rogers will be releasing soon. Like we heard in early August, a new Best Buy ad confirms that the Nokia 6790 Surge is on the way and is set to launch this month for $89.99 CAD on a 3-year contract or for $279.99 contract-free. As a refresher, the Surge has: a 2.4-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, GPS / Bluetooth 2.0 support, a 2.5mm headphone jack (sadly), and a microSD card slot.

This is a picture of Rogers' future line-up and it looks like the Nokia 6790 "Surge" is a part of the list. The Surge has: a 2.4-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, GPS support, a 2.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0, and a microSD card slot. This phone will launch for $89.99 CAD on a 3-year contract or $279.99 contract-free, but we don't know when it will be yet..

AT&T has just launched this handset, the Nokia 6760 Slide as the AT&T Nokia Surge and it looks like its headed to Europe. All the specs of the Surge are going to stay the same, except the camera will get a slight bump to 3.2MP - up from 2MP. You can check out the complete spec sheet here. Europe should expect this handset to hit their shores for around €199 ($283) "before subsidies and taxes" in Q3 of this year.

That mysterious slider from Nokia, the Mako / 6790 Surge, has just been officially announced. So, the Nokia Surge has: a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2MP camera, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / dual-band UMTS and 3.6Mbps HSDPA connectivity, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB support), FM radio, 3G, aGPS, Bluetooth, a USB 2.0 port, and a sad 2.5mm headphone jack. This AT&T exclusive will have a bunch of AT&T services, like: AT&T Navigator, AT&T Music, AT&T Mobile Banking, Mobi TV, etc. It will be launched by AT&T on July 19th for $79.99 USD after a mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract.

It's not the first time you've seen this device - well it shouldn't be. It's the Nokia Mako that's scheduled to hit AT&T in mid-July. According to this video, the Nokia Mako will be hitting AT&T as the 6790 Surge and will be "priced pretty well." Just in case you forgot, the 6790 Surge has: a 2.4-inch QVGA display, aGPS, a 2MP camera, a microSD card slot, and dual-band HSDPA connectivity.
