This handset runs Android and should be a Google Experience phone, and it also comes with DivX support. Apparently, this handset is already available in Europe and it should be hitting Asia and the Middle Easy fairly soon.

It's passed the FCC once before and it looks like the Samsung I5700 Spica has been spotted there again. This time it has 850 / 1900MHz GSM bands and 850 / 1900MHz WCDMA bands, which is perfect for a launch on AT&T. Another handset that has been spotted is the Samsung R860 and it has 1700MHz AWS bands along with CDMA/EV-DO connectivity. This phone would be fit for a launch on Cricket or MetroPCS.
Update: According to Phandroid, the FCC ID for this handset is A3LGTI5700L which could mean that it will get launched in Latin America.

It looks like today we've gotten another look at the Samsung I5700 that was once named the Galaxy Lite. This time it's being touted as the Samsung Spica - which isn't entirely all that new. The specs are identical to what we've heard before: a 3-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 240 x 384 resolution, a 3.2MP AF camera, GPS support, FM radio, an old-school Qualcomm 528MHz CPU, Android, and a 1500 mAh battery. There should also be a microSD card slot on-board somewhere. The release details haven't been mentioned yet, but Engadget suggests that it likely won't see the light of day in the US.

More Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite Images Pop Up, New Black With Red Colour -- Delayed Until 2010!?

We've already seen the I5700 Galaxy Lite running Android in the white / lime green flavour, so the more interesting colour is on the right side which is a black / red colour which - I think - looks better. I like my devices black. More or less the full spec sheet is below, courtesy of Tmo Today. And yes, that does say TouchWiz, so we could be seeing a bit of Samsung manipulating on this handset - unlike the original I7500 Galaxy.
Update: According to Tech Radar, this handset could be delayed until early 2010. That would suck.

First Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite Picture Surfaces, Available Next Month in France as the Galaxy Spica

We've been hearing about the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite for the past couple of weeks now. So, what you see above is rumoured to be the first photo of the Galaxy Lite. This handset will be running Android and will also have WiFi / 3G / GPS support which doesn't make it as "low-end" as I thought it was going to be. I'm now guessing that the camera is a 3.2MP sensor and the display isn't OLED. According to the rumours, the Galaxy Lite will be available as early as next month, so we'll see what happens.
Update: According to GSM Arena, this handset will be launching on Bouygues Telecom in France as the Samsung Galaxy Spica. This handset will have WiFi / GPS support and, apparently, has a faster processor than the original Galaxy. It's expected to rock the same 800MHz CPU as the Omnia II, but I believe that's unconfirmed.

Last month, the Samsung Galaxy Lite aka I5700 got the WiFi Alliance certificate and now we have word that it just passed the FCC. Right now the details on this device are scarce, but we know that it has GSM support, so it could launch on either T-Mobile of AT&T. Let's also hope it retains Android from the I7500 Galaxy. You can check out the official FCC filing here - warning, it's a PDF.

Yes, these are photos of a white Samusng I7500 Galaxy. It's still running Android, so it's probably just another colour and not an entirely new handset. But wait, could this be the Samsung Galaxy Lite? I don't know, but it looks like it will be launching on O2 Germany before spreading out to other carriers in Europe. The sad part is that it doesn't look like this will hit US carriers.

WiFi Alliance
The Samsung Galaxy Lite has just got a WiFi Alliance certificate. We figure that this will be a smaller version of Samsung's first Android device, the I7500 Galaxy. We supposed that it will also run Android. We don't know if and when it will hit North American shores, since the Galaxy hasn't even been released here yet.
