HTC Pyramid To Get Official Next Week as the Sensation?

Labels: , , , ,

The latest rumour going around, coming from Pocket-Lint is that the HTC Pyramid will really be announced at the company's event next week, on April 12th. Apparently, the smartphone will be getting official as the HTC Sensation which the company filed a patent for a while back. This is expected to be a high-end smartphone with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, an 8MP camera, a front-facing cameras, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, 768MB of RAM, and Android with the Sense UI. I'm excited for it!

HTC Holding An Event On April 12th; Pyramid, "Honeycomb" Tablets, Or European EVO 3D?

Labels: , , , ,

HTC wants us to join them "to see what's next" on April 12th which is in two weeks. The event starts at 1:30PM GMT which is 8:30AM ET - that's early. Okay, so now it's time to speculate what'll be announced. It could be a number of things: the HTC Pyramid or some "Honeycomb" based tablets. To be honest, it doesn't really which one they announce because I'm looking forward to both. Engadget is guessing that it could be something mediocre like a European EVO 3D launch which would be upsetting.

HTC Pyramid Leaks Again, Confirms qHD Display and 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Coming from xda-developers is yet another leak regarding the HTC Pyramid. This time it's looking clearer than ever and there's some confirmed specs in tow as well. Apparently, this smartphone features a 4.3-inch qHD display (960 x 540 resolution), a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU, 768MB of RAM, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" with the Sense 3.0 UI. This one should be on its way to T-Mobile USA and could be announced at this year's Google I/O - maybe with the next version of Android (that's just me being hopeful).

Front Of the HTC Pyramid Leaks, Could Be Announced At Google I/O With Android 2.4

Labels: , , , , , ,

The back of the HTC Pyramid leaked yesterday and today it's the front that's making the news. GSM Arena has somehow snagged the photo above which confirms that the Pyramid will be sporting a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 resolution) display which is a bit better than the WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) standard that we're used to seeing on high-end Android handsets. Of course, it also confirms that it has a front-facing camera along with an ambient light sensor.

Update: It looks like the resolution of the display isn't confirmed. TMoNews has mentioned that the display is actually still sporting a 480 x 800 (WVGA) resolution. They're also offered up some more specs regarding this smartphone. Apparently, you'll find a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, HSPA+, and 768MB of RAM inside this bad boy. This could also be announced at Google I/O later this year and might be the first handset to ship with Android 2.4. Maybe it will end up being the next Nexus device. We'll see.

T-Mobile Bound HTC Pyramid Backside Leaks, Still Looking Awesome

Labels: , , , , , ,

Does the phone on the left look familiar? Well, it should. Coming from Techblog.gr, this is said to be the back of the awesome HTC Pyramid which should be the next Nexus - but it won't be. It looks pretty darn awesome and we should be seeing more of it this week when it'll, hopefully, get official. Maybe it'll even run "Ice Cream" but that's just wishful thinking.

HTC "Pyramid" Leaks In Photos; 4.3-Inch qHD Display, 1.2GHz CPU, and "Honeycomb"?

Labels: , , , ,

We already heard about two leaked HTC phones running Windows Phone 7 this morning and now XDA.cn is back at it again showing off the HTC phone you see above. This is rumoured to be the HTC Pyramid which we've actually heard about a couple of times before. So far we've heard about specs for this phone and they're lined up with what the website is saying today. This one is rumoured to be hitting T-Mobile USA in Q3 of this year (possibly May). If you want to know more then click on through because there's some rumoured specs for this one.

Rumoured specs for the HTC Pyramid include a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 resolution) Super LCD display, a 1.2GHz CPU (possibly dual-core), an 8MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and WiFi / Bluetooth support. Chalk this one up as a rumour, but it's reportedly running on Android "Honeycomb". Maybe that's just for testing purposes because we already heard that that version of Google's OS won't be hitting mobile phones. Maybe it'll be running "Ice Cream" by the time it launches.

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Fone Arena got some nice inventory screenshot photos and they're all upcoming Android devices which is great news. You take a look at the photo above and you see the HTC "Pyramid" which we heard of just a few days ago and it's said to be sporting some amazing specs for a smartphone. Moving along there's also photos below confirming the existence of the HTC "Flyer", said to be the company's 7-inch Android tablet, the LG Optimus 3D smartphone, and the LG Star Tab - which could be a variant of the G-Slate / Optimus Tab. You can bet on these all making an MWC appearance in less than two weeks.

Fone Arena also got another photo of the HTC Desire 2 in the systems but we already know about that one.

4.3-Inch HTC "Pyramid" Hitting T-Mobile With HSPA+ and Dual-Core CPU This May?

Labels: , , , , ,

Coming from Android and Me and TmoNews is a rumour that HTC is working on a dual-core smartphone which is quite predictable but the information that they're getting is a bit more solid than that. They're hearing that the HTC "Pyramid" is going to feature a 4.3-inch qHD display, HSPA+ technology, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 chip which is a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. That's pretty impressive. Apparently, this one will be hitting T-Mobile USA in Q2 (possibly May) 2011 and that's actually right around the corner.

Maybe we'll see it at MWC.
