Sprint Getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab On November 14th, Motorola i886 In January, and White EVO 4G Hitting Stores Soon

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

A bunch of new devices are headed to Sprint very soon, and they've been tipped thanks to this new leak. First off, the Samsung Galaxy Tab (the Samsung P1 tablet), will reportedly be available on November 14th. The mid-end Android-based Motorola i886 will also reportedly be available in a few months, on January 9th, which is pretty far away. I guess we'll be seeing it at CES 2011 if that's the case.

And yes, the white HTC EVO 4G which is already available at Best Buy will be hitting Best Buy stores on November 14th.

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

You better start heading to Sprint stores right now if you want to get their variant of the Samsung Galaxy S. The Epic 4G will be hitting stores tomorrow and they'll be opening those stores at 8AM just for you to get one before the work day starts. As a reminder, the smartphone will cost you $249.99 on a 2-year contract and if you haven't pre-ordered one yet then you should head to Amazon where they have it for $199.99.

Oh yes, the HTC EVO 4G is back in stock, but it should be sold out soon so you better act fast.

As expected, Sprint has just released their white HTC EVO 4G smartphones exclusively at Best Buy (here). Europe-Bound HTC Ace To Be the GSM DROID Incredible Or the 3G-Only EVO?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Okay, so yesterday morning we heard about the HTC Ace which will be hitting Europe in the future, but exactly what is it? No one knows for sure right now, but it'll be running on the Android OS. Pocket-Lint is leaning towards the HTC Ace being a GSM Droid Incredible (pictured above), while everyone else including Electronista is saying that it's a GSM version of the EVO 4G (without the 4G capabilities). This 3G-only smartphone will be hitting T-Mobile and apparently features specs similar to the HD2 with Android (the EVO 4G). I won't make any guesses so let's just wait for the official word.

Verizon and Motorola's DROID X Pictured Beside the EVO 4G, iPhone 3G, and the DROID Eris

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

If you thought the HTC EVO 4G was huge, then here's a picture of the Motorola DROID X (and an iPhone 3G) right beside it. As you can see the DROID X is slightly taller than the EVO 4G, but it does look a bit thinner (I could be wrong about that) - they both feature 4.3-inch displays. There's also a picture below of it beside the HTC DROID Eris. I want to see this phone beside the DROID 2, to be honest.

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Yes, I hear you. You're waiting for the HTC EVO 4G - I know it. Well, if you are then you should probably keep in mind that some Best Buys already have them in the back, but you can't buy them yet. If you just can't wait any longer, you can start lining up at Radio Shack right now. On Friday, June 4th, Radio Shacks around the US (1,600 of them) will be opening their stores at 6AM to give you the EVO 4G. This would be perfect because you can just hop on over, get one, and then show it off to everyone at work - if that's what you want to do.

Update: Sprint has just shown off their TV ad for the EVO 4G. It's below, courtesy of Phandroid.

Best Buy To Launch an HTC EVO 4G Dock

Labels: , , , , , , ,

The HTC EVO 4G is going to hit Sprint soon and it looks like Best Buy will come through to deliver an HDMI dock in the future as well. The dock clearly shows that the dock has both mini HDMI and microUSB plugs so that it'll connect to the bottom of the EVO 4G. Unfortunately, the price isn't mentioned so that's definitely something someone has to leak soon.

Radio Shack Taking Pre-Orders for the HTC EVO 4G Right Now

Labels: , , , , , ,

Radio Shack has just announced that they'll be taking pre-order for the HTC EVO 4G today. The smartphone will be hitting their stores on June 4th, but you can pre-order them right now! To pre-order it you'll have to go to their store and purchase a $50 gift card which will be used when you buy the actual handset on June 4th. This means there won't be some silly mail-in rebate so that's good news.

Head over to Best Buy's website to pre-order one now if you want to.

HTC EVO 4G Hitting Sprint On June 4th For $199.99 On Contract

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Sprint has finally announced that they'll be releasing the HTC EVO 4G on June 4th. The handset will be priced at $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate and possibly just $450 contract-free. We know that the iPhone will have video-calling and it's good that the EVO 4G will have it as well. You'll be able to two-way video call with this handset over Sprint's 3G and 4G network. WiMAX (4G) will reportedly cost you an extra $10 monthly in case you're interested in that - and you should be if you're getting the phone because it's mandatory. If you're rich, you can use this handset as a hotspot for up to eight devices, but that'll cost you an extra $30 every month.

Sprint Employees Start Their Training For the HTC EVO 4G

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Sprint employees have just started undergoing their HTC EVO 4G training and apparently it has just revealed a bit of secrets. Secrets include Sprint Navigation, Google Navigation, an FM radio, and WEP / WPA encryption. If you do happen to buy the phone on Sprint's 4G network you'll, of course, need "special plans" which probably means you'll have to spend more money to use the speedy new network.

Sprint No Longer Launching the Nexus One Since They Have the HTC EVO 4G Coming

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Sprint has just announced that they won't be launching the Google Nexus One. This is because they'll be launching the HTC EVO 4G, which is a "more robust, full-featured device." Of course, this is expected seeing how Verizon isn't launching the Nexus One either since they already have the DROID Incredible.

HTC EVO 4G Hits the FCC With Clearwire and Sprint's WiMAX

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Just in time for those lucky contestants who are about to win Sprint's contest. The HTC EVO 4G has just passed the FCC with Sprint and Clearwire's WiMAX (2500MHz bands). Of course, it also has CDMA and EV-DO connectivity. This is pretty amazing, so we'll just have to wait around until Sprint USA gets it.

Sprint Taking Pre-Orders For the HTC EVO 4G Later This Month, Training Starting Soon Too?

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Sprint is set to launch the HTC EVO 4G soon and apparently the pre-orders for the handset could actually start later this month (May) at Radio Shack. An anonymous tipster over at Phandroid snapped a picture of Radio Shack's inventory system and this is hinting that Sprint will be releasing the handset sometime in the first half of June.

Don't forget that if you win the event that Sprint is holding, you should be getting your EVO 4G in the middle of this month as well. Another tipster mentioned that the training for the EVO 4G will start at around the 24th of this month. Good news for everyone!

HTC EVO 4G Spotted In a Local Sprint Store

Labels: , , , , , ,

Apparently, the shot above was taken with someone's HTC Touch Pro 2. The owner managed to snag a photo of the upcoming HTC EVO 4G in his local Sprint store - somewhere in Central Florida. Whoever wins that contest of theirs is going to be pretty darn lucky.

Sprint To Launch the HTC EVO 4G For $199 On Contract?

Labels: , , , , , , ,

The latest rumour states that the upcoming HTC EVO 4G will be hitting Sprint with a $199.99 price tag on a 2-year contract price when it launches. This isn't all that surprising since all of the higher-end models are priced this way. However, I'm assuming that the 4G data will be priced a bit higher so you'll have to pay more monthly if you want to take full advantage of the phone. Earlier this month it was rumoured that 4G may cost an extra $10 - $20 more monthly.

Sprint Holding a Contest For the HTC EVO 4G, Get It Months Earlier Than Everyone Else!

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Sprint will be holding a contest for those people in their VIP program. If you're one of those people then you can actually apply to win an HTC EVO 4G way before anyone else. In under 150 words, you have to tell Sprint what you can do "really fast." On May 18th, they'll inform the ten winners and they'll get an EVO 4G delivered to them. If you win, you'll also get a free year of service and a job as a blogger on Sprint's site to tell everyone how amazing the phone is - until August 31st. Four out of the ten winners will also get "long Summer weekend" trips to a city in the US with Sprint's 4G network. Check out Sprint's website here.

Sprint Holding Event For the HTC EVO 4G (and the Prince of Persia Movie) On May 12th

Labels: , , , , , ,

Mark May 12th down on your calendar because Sprint USA has a party planned for the HTC EVO 4G on that date. The party will take place in New York and Sprint has partnered with Walt Disney Pictures "for an advanced screening of the upcoming blockbuster 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.'" The smartphone will be available in the Summertime, so it could be out June 13th just like the rumour states.
