Mobile Syrup heard that Bell was going to be releasing the Bada-based Samsung Wave handset last month and another one of their reliable tipsters has mentioned that it could be hitting another Canadian carrier as well. If you read the title then I already ruined it and told you that Rogers will be getting it. This handset has already been confirmed to have a CPU inside of it which is extremely similar to the one found in the iPhone 4 but that's not really important. The most important part of this is how user-friendly the Bada OS is.

Acer has actually announced / released a bunch of new Aspire products today. The first bunch of them is four notebooks that we all know are a part of their TimelineX Series. This includes the 11.6-inch 1830T, 13.3-inch 3820T, 14-inch 4820T, and 15.6-inch 5820T notebooks. They're all available in the US with Core i3 / i5 CPU options and they're not the ULV chips so you'll sacrifice battery life for raw power. All of these models come packed with ATI Radeon HD 5650 graphics and still manage to be less than an inch thick even though the two larger models come packed with optical drives, which is definitely sweet. The cheapest notebook of the line-up is obviously the smallest one which will cost you $600 and will feature an Intel Core i3 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 320GB HDD. This is definitely a must buy if you're looking for a small notebook - but not a netbook. All of these notebooks should be popping up online or in stores very soon. On to other things...
Acer has just released their Aspire Ethos 8943G in the US as well. For $1,549.99 (on Amazon) you'll be getting an 18-inch LED-backlit Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display, a Core i7-720QM CPU, 4GB of RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 graphics, a Blu-ray drive, and the awesome LED touchpad. That's not all though since they're also bringing the AS5745 and AS7745 notebooks with it. Both of these notebooks come with Core i5 / i7 CPU options so that's definitely great. The smaller model will be sporting a 15.6-inch multitouch display if you're willing to spend $900. The larger model will be sporting a 17.3-inch display, a Blu-ray drive, and ATI HD 5650 graphics if you want to spend $1,400.
Starting at just $450, Acer has shown off their Aspire X3 (above) and M3 (below) desktop PCs. The X3 model comes packed with AMD Athlon II, Phenom II, Intel Pentium E6600, and Core i3 CPU options along with 4GB of RAM, up to a 1TB HDD, integrated Intel GMA graphics, and optional Nvidia GeForce 9200 graphics. The M3, on the other hand, only has AMD CPU (Athlon II / Phenom II) options and features up to a 640GB HDD along with Nvidia GeForce 9200 or ATI HD 5450 graphics.

It's not exactly the biggest news of all time but the Samsung Galaxy Tab has just got its WiFi Alliance certificate. It tells us that it's (the GT-P1000) sporting WiFi a/b/g/n so that's some good news. This 7-inch tablet is going to be running Android along with Touchwiz 3.0 and it'll pretty much be a large Galaxy S.

It was just a couple of days ago when people realized that Rogers dropped the price of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 to $99.99 on a 3-year contract but it looks like that might have changed already. Some Rogers stores in Canada are now offering the Bold 9700 for free on a 3-year contract if you're interested. Of course, the iPhone 4 is on the way so that could be why they decided to drop the price.

We already know that AT&T will be launching the Samsung Galaxy S (T959), but we've known it to be called the Captivate. We also know that T-Mobile will be launching the handset as well and they'll reportedly be calling it the Vibrant. We already know the complete spec sheet so there's really not much to reiterate for you.
Update: According to Engadget, they've just got their hands on the AT&T-bound Samsung Captivate but the model is actually a couple of months old so the software wasn't official. The hardware is though and they mentioned that the Super AMOLED display is one of the best that you'll set your eyes on.

Okay, so Nintendo officially unveiled the 3DS at E3 last week but they didn't announce a price or a release date. Well, they've announced about half of the much-needed information. Nintendo has mentioned that the 3DS will be hitting "all of our major markets by March 31, 2011." This is pretty far away, but it was definitely expected. Furthermore, Nintendo is quick to mention that the design of the 3DS handheld isn't final right now so it could change.

We already know that the Samsung Wave 2 Pro is on the way but it looks like the handset may not exactly be a clear successor to the original Wave. The good news is that the company is looking to make this handset more affordable than the original Wave so some specs are cut back a bit. The Wave 2 Pro is said to feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen WQVGA display, a 3MP camera, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (that looks quite good), a 3.5mm headphone jack, an FM radio, aGPS / Bluetooth 2.1 / WiFi b/g/n support, 80MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 1,200mAh battery, and Bada with the Touchwiz 3.0 UI.
The Wave 2 is expected to feature quite a similar spec sheet but it'll be slightly thinner because it won't feature the QWERTY keyboard.
