Vodafone 845 Now Available, Obviously On Vodafone

One of the smallest Android phones to date, the Vodafone 845, is now available. You can get the handset now (here) for free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay £15 monthly. The site mentions that it's running Android Eclair which is version 2.1, a 3.2MP camera, and 3G connectivity.

Vodafone has just officially announced their Vodafone 845 handset. This is the smallest Android 2.1 handset to date and it sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, WiFi support, and access to the Android Market. 12 Vodafone markets will be getting this handset and it'll pack Vodafone 360. It'll be free on select contracts, but the release date hasn't been mentioned - it should be available soon though.

It looks like Huawei-made Vodafone 845 has just been pictured in the wild and it's clearly sporting Android 2.1. This handset will hit the carrier with Vodafone 360, but the release date wasn't mentioned - but it'll be sometime this quarter. This handset packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen QVGA display, a 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth / aGPS / WiFi support, and an optical trackpad.

Vodafone 845 To Run Android 2.1 and Cost Just €150 This May

Vodafone looks like they could be planning to launch a cheap Android handset in the future. The Vodafone 845 will be launching for around €150 ($204 USD). That's pretty cheap consider its spec sheet. It's packing a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, 512MB of internal memory, WiFi / aGPS support, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1,200mAh battery, Android 2.1, and even Vodafone's own 360 service. The name isn't official yet and the phone itself is made by Huawei. It could be launched this May as the Joy so just look out for it.
