Google Reveals Who They're Working With to Push Out the Chrome OS
The one that is notably missing is Dell. Dell is the second-largest PC maker in the world (though Acer is close at its heels), but didn't indicate it was actively working with Google on this when contacted earlier today. The company would only say that "Dell constantly assesses new technologies as part of managing our product development process and for consideration in future products."

PC vs Mac Ad VI: Family on a Budget Choose Another HP dv7
It's been a while since Microsoft released one of those good ol' advertisements, but here's the latest one. There's not really much to say about this advertisement, but this family was on a budget. For $700 USD, they were looking for a laptop with a big screen, long battery life, and the ability to share pictures. Like the very first PC vs Mac ad, they chose the HP dv7, which I doubt will give them a heck of a lot of battery life. The glossiness is just not a good look either, in my opinion. But, they can always share pictures with Windows Photo Gallery because it's just that good y'know. Check out the ad below. The wife is kind of hot.

GB Unveil Uninteresting 12-Inch X1200 Laptop
GB, a Chinese company, has unveiled a 12.1-inch notebook - the X1200 - that has netbook specs, so call it whatever you like. This X1200 laptop has: a 12.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, a 1.3MP webcam, and 2 USB 2.0 ports. It's 24mm thick, weighs around 1.35kg, and probably runs Windows XP. When it is available, it will be priced at 2,200 yuan ($322 USD). Fairly boring, isn't it?

UK Getting a Pink HTC Hero This Month; Not Being Launched By T-Mobile USA
In addition, T-Mobile has officially stated that they have "no plans" to launch the HTC Hero in the US. This is key because it recently passed the FCC with US 3G support. This means that another carrier will be getting it... so who will it be? Any guesses?

Android-Based Sony Ericsson "Rachael" XPERIA's UI on Video
"Rachael" is still not a confirmed handset, but the rumoured specs are starting to roll out slowly. We know about the possible Snapdragon 1GHz CPU inside, but it could also have around a 4-inch touchscreen display - so this could mean 3.8-inches or something like that. It's also rumoured to be available later on this year. I still have the same question as before, is this the XPERIA X5?
Update: More news about this handset has been pushed out, thanks to GSM Arena. According to them, the resolution of this video is 852 x 480 pixels, which means that this could be what we're seeing on the "Rachael" handset. This would mean a 16:9 aspect ratio, which would make it "highest resolution screen we have seen so far on a mobile phone." Congratulation, Sony Ericsson! They also mentioned that since this video is available, it is already in development [and confirmed unofficially] and that's not a bad guess. They also mention some more specs of the "Rachael", including: a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1GHz CPU, a 4-inch touchscreen display, an 8.1MP camera, WiFi, GPS, 3G with HSDPA support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and miniUSB connectivity. All I have to say is - damn!
Don't forget the video below!

Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Laptop Finally Shipping
It's been on sale for two weeks already and Lenovo's IdeaPad S12 is finally starting to make its way to its buyers. Right now only the black model is shipping in the US and the white and VIA Nano models are tagged with the good ol' "ships in more than 4 weeks" tag. If you purchased an S12 for $500 USD, you should get: a 12.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, GMA 950 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, WiFi 802.11 b/g, and a 6-cell battery. It's debatable whether it's a netbook or a notebook, but who cares? It's a laptop.

Sony Already Working On PSP2? More Powerful Than the Original Xbox
It's just a rumour, so don't get too excited yet. What would really be exciting is if it had 2 thumbsticks!! If this is slated for a late 2010 / early 2011 release date, won't this technology already be outdated? That's what I'm wondering.

Google Chrome OS Coming Soon!? 2010.
Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google.
One question about the Google Chrome OS though. What about Android? Well, I guess that quote kind of answered it actually. The Google OS is coming to take over the world, and I can't wait. Looks like I'm going to purchase my last Windows PC this year, sorry Microsoft.

LG Unveil GC990 Louvre With 12MP Camera; Also Unveil Low-End GW300
Just because LG unveiled 2 sweet phones already (next-gen LG Chocolate and the above LG GC990) doesn't mean they're finished yet. LG capped the day off by unveiling a low-end handset / smartphone for your Facebooking and e-mailing needs. The LG GW300 has: a 2.4-inch display with a 240 x 320 resolution, stereo Bluetooth, USB 2.0 connectivity, GPRS / EDGE support aka no 3G, a full QWERTY keypad, and a supposed 3.2MP camera. The pricing and availability for this handset also have not been revealed, but seeing how it's a low-end handset it'll be on the cheaper side of things.

LG Teases New Chocolate Handset, the iPhone Competitor
The new LG Chocolate "will be a disruptive force in conventional mobile screens." Well, what could this mean? This could be a hint towards an AMOLED touchscreen display - hopefully capacitive; maybe multitouch could also be an option - you never know. Other specs could possibly include: a 5MP camera, the Obigo Q7.3 browser, and LG's own OS.
So far, that's all LG has teased us with officially - just a picture. This handset is expected to be officially unveiled by LG next month. For more information, just click on any or all of the links below.
