HTC "Pyramid" Leaks In Photos; 4.3-Inch qHD Display, 1.2GHz CPU, and "Honeycomb"?

Labels: , , , ,

We already heard about two leaked HTC phones running Windows Phone 7 this morning and now XDA.cn is back at it again showing off the HTC phone you see above. This is rumoured to be the HTC Pyramid which we've actually heard about a couple of times before. So far we've heard about specs for this phone and they're lined up with what the website is saying today. This one is rumoured to be hitting T-Mobile USA in Q3 of this year (possibly May). If you want to know more then click on through because there's some rumoured specs for this one.

Rumoured specs for the HTC Pyramid include a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 resolution) Super LCD display, a 1.2GHz CPU (possibly dual-core), an 8MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and WiFi / Bluetooth support. Chalk this one up as a rumour, but it's reportedly running on Android "Honeycomb". Maybe that's just for testing purposes because we already heard that that version of Google's OS won't be hitting mobile phones. Maybe it'll be running "Ice Cream" by the time it launches.

HTC Ignite and Prime Photos Leaks, Possibly Running WP7 For Mid 2011

Labels: , , , ,

Two new possible Windows Phone 7 phones have just leaked from XDA.cn (here and here). The handset above is rumoured to be launching in mid 2011 and could be the HTC Ignite. Specs are unknown right now but they should be fairly good since Microsoft has minimal requirements on smartphones running their OS. With that in mind, let's hope that this one raises the bar for WP7 handsets.

The one below is reportedly the HTC Prime. This one reportedly features a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a 5MP camera, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Yup, it's a traditional WP7 handset that doesn't really raise the bar from the HTC 7 Pro. It does look a bit better though - and thinner.

Leaked Pics Of the Motorola DROID 3, DROID X 2, and High-End "Targa" With 13MP Camera

Labels: , , , ,

HowardForums (and here and here) has just leaked a few upcoming Motorola smartphones that will be headed to Verizon in the USA. They're all, unsurprisingly, running on Google's Android OS and actually seem quite powerful. These will all be launching after the DROID Bionic which should be launching in Q2 of this year. What we have here is the DROID 3 (below), the DROID X 2 (below), and the "Targa" which is above. The DROID 3 should pack a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, while the DROID X 2 should just have a large touchscreen display.

The "Targa" is the most interesting of the trio sporting a thin body, capacitive buttons, a front-facing camera, a large touchscreen display, a miniHDMI port, and what appears to be a 13MP AF camera on the back. Other specs are unknown right now but don't be surprised if it's one of the highest-end smartphones of the year. Furthermore, it looks like we'll be waiting a long time for this one to hit the market; ETA is Q4.

Update: Android Central has just picked up another image of the DROID 3, via Howard Forums. Check it out below.

Apple's Next iPhone Rumoured To Feature Dual SIM Card Slot

Labels: , ,

iDealsChina has just mentioned something that some people could be looking for (not me). Apparently, the latest rumour on the street says that Apple's next phone (in June) could actually be sporting a dual-SIM card slot which is quite interesting. This would be great for those that carry around two phones because you can just jam both of your SIM cards into one phone which would be convenient. Of course, this is just a rumour right now because the website doesn't have a 100% track record.
