Looks like yet another Android handset is headed to Koodo Mobile in Canada. It's going to be the LG Optimus One Skype Edition which should be similar to the original model. Of course, one exception is that it'll have Skype pre-loaded on the device so you'll be able to video chat with its front-facing camera. Look out for it soon where it should cost you $175 contract-free.

LG has just released the Optimus 3G on Telus in Canada if you're looking for a new mid-end Android handset. This one features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2 with a custom UI. The handset is now available for free on a 3-year contract and for a whopping $529.99 contract-free - Mobile Syrup points out that the Nexus S is cheaper contract-free. LG Phoenix Headed To Rogers In Canada

AT&T has released this one and it looks like Rogers will be bringing it to Canada. Of course, this one's not exactly a new handset since it's just an LG Optimus One variant. The Phoenix is headed to Rogers with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a 600MHz CPU, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and Android 2.2. Price and release date haven't been mentioned yet.

As expected, AT&T in the US has just released their own LG Optimus One variants. The LG Thrive, above, is the GoPhone aka the prepaid phone, while the LG Phoenix is available for $49.99 on a 2-year contract. Both of these phones are available with Froyo pre-loaded and apparently these will get Gingerbread in the distant future. Check them out on AT&T.

AT&T looks like they're less than a week away from offering their own variant of the LG Optimus One. They'll be available on April 17th and it's the LG Thrive and the Phoenix. The Thrive will be their pre-paid handset at $179.99, while the Phoenix is the exact same handset except that it's darker and will cost you $49.99 on a 2-year contract. Not exactly the best news of the day, but it could be great for a teen.

PocketNow is back at it again. This time they've got pretty official photos of the LG Optimus One that's headed to AT&T in the US. The official name is unknown right now but it could be something like the Optimus A. This handset will be a mid-end one featuring a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, a 600MHz CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi / GPS support, and Android 2.2. It should be cheap on a 2-year contract so there's no need to worry.

The catch is that you'll have to sign up for a $55 unlimited monthly plan for at least one month. Of course, this handset is a mid-end touchscreen one since it's actually the Optimus One which has been around for a few months now. Koodo Mobile has just announced one piece of information that you might need if you're looking for a budget Android phone. The LG Optimus One will be hitting the Canadian carrier this Wednesday, March 2nd. This one should be available for around $200 contract-free so it could be right around $50 on the Tab. The Optimus One features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 600MHz CPU, a 3MP camera, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2 with a custom UI.

An internal screenshot (below) shows that Koodo plans to launch a new BlackBerry, we just don't know when. It's going to be the Curve 9300 which have been available on the Big 3 for a couple of months now. Price is unknown for this one and I won't bother guessing.

We knew it was on the way and this pretty much confirms it. Virgin Mobile in the US will be releasing the LG Optimus One as the Optimus V and it'll be available for $149.99 contract-free which is pretty good. The Optimus V features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a microSD card slot, a 3.2MP AF camera, a 600MHz Qualcomm CPU, WiFi / Bluetooth support, 3G support, and Android 2.2. Keep in mind that this is a budget Android phone so you get what you pay for.

US Cellular may be the highest ranked cell phone carrier in the USA and it looks like they're about to launch a budget-friendly Froyo based handset. It's going to be the LG Optimus One which will be launching as the Optimus U. This will be available for free on a 2-year contract after an $80 mail-in rebate. This will be available starting on December 13th, so mark it on your calendar if you're going to pick one up.
