Back in April, we heard about a boxy Motorola handset that was sporting MOTOBLUR over top of Android 2.1. Named the Motorola Flipout, this packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 512MB of ROM, 256MB of RAM, a 3.1MP camera, GPS support, and a 700MHz CPU. The Flipout will be sporting a weird way to slide out the QWERTY keyboard and Motorola has the knack for doing this sort of thing. They do have the Backflip as proof.
This handset will reportedly be available sometime in June, but we don't know the price or which carriers will get them.

Sprint has just announced that they won't be launching the Google Nexus One. This is because they'll be launching the HTC EVO 4G, which is a "more robust, full-featured device." Of course, this is expected seeing how Verizon isn't launching the Nexus One either since they already have the DROID Incredible.

AT&T has finally announced that they'll be launching the Palm Pre Plus on May 16th, which is this Sunday, and it'll be priced at $149.99 on a 2-year contract after rebates. It seems a bit high seeing how Verizon has the phone for $100 cheaper, but there's a catch. You'll be getting a free Touchstone with your purchase, which makes the deal sweeter. This deal will only be available for a limited time, so you might want to get it as soon as you can.

A new Samsung mp3 player is about to hit the market and it's packing a lengthy 60-hour battery life. Of course, that's playing just audio but it's still pretty impressive. Other specs are said to be a 3-inch QVGA LCD display, 4GB / 8GB / 16GB of internal storage, and it supports a couple of codecs including DivX / XviD, WMV, and H.264 video. This one's the Samsung YP-RB mp3 player and it's just been spotted in a Korean catalog. You'll be able to get around 10 hours of video, so it's not bad.

For the BlackBerry lovers out there, you should probably keep in mind that the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9100 and 9105) has just hit the FCC (filing here). Both of these phones are the exact same, except for the keypad. They both have WCDMA Bands II and V so they'll work on AT&T's 3G network in the US and Bell, Telus, and Rogers in Canada. These handsets should both be out very, very soon.

Apple Looking To Update Their MacBook Air Notebook In the Near Future?

Apparently, Apple is looking to refresh their MacBook Air sometime in the future. This is definitely expected considering that Intel is launching a bunch of new Core i3 ULV / i5 ULV CPUs in the near future. Sadly, this update could be something less appealing, like new 27-inch LCD monitors. So, since Apple regularly updates their products on Tuesdays, could it be tomorrow or next week or the week after that? We'll have to wait.

A new Motorola handset has just been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG (here) and it's the WX404. This handset reportedly features a landscape display, Bluetooth 2.1 support, and a 2MP camera. This will be available in North and South America and since it's got CDMA connectivity it could be hitting Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, or even MetroPCS. Unwired View points out that this could be an eco-friendly handset, since it has a green edge around it. Price and release dates aren't known yet so we don't even know which carriers will get them for sure.

We knew this was on the way and Sony has just unveiled the latest iteration of their Vaio P. If you want to call it a netbook then go right ahead, but it's a bit of an upgrade from the past model. As you can [slightly] see, on the right side of the display there's an optical trackpad and on the left side there are two buttons for the left and right click. There's also a built-in accelerometer so that you can tilt whatever you see on the screen. Other options are a standard Z530 CPU but you'll be able to upgrade it to a Z560 CPU if you want. The price wasn't mentioned in the press release, but it's expected to make its debut in June of this year. Oh yeah, don't forget that it'll be available in five colours: black, white, orange, pink, and lime green.
