We'll just have to trust Boy Genius at this point, but they're getting the word that T-Mobile USA is launching 8 HTC handsets this year. Half of them will be WinMo and the other half will be running Android. All of the phones will likely come from that leaked HTC roadmap that popped up last month.

The latest news states that the Samsung Galaxy Spica will be headed to the US. Thankfully it'll be going through a slight make-over since the Behold II looks identical to it. The Spica will be launching with: a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, an 800MHz CPU, a 3MP camera, and vanilla Android 1.5 - hopefully at least 2.0 by the time it launches.

MetroPCS-Bound ZTE C76 and China-Bound Huawei G7600 Pass the FCC
A MetroPCS-bound ZTE C76 (above)handset has just passed the FCC and so did a Huawei G7600 (below). Both handsets sport simple candybar designs with no sign of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The specs for both handsets are pretty unknown but we do know that the C76 has Bluetooth support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The G7600 also has Bluetooth support and brings along an FM radio, a camera (possibly 2MP), mobile TV, and GSM/GPRS connectivity. This one's likely headed to China. Check out the FCC filings here and here, respectively.

Apple Tablet Causing 10-Inch LCD and OLED Display Shortages; Casing Leaked?

If this picture above is believed to be the casing of the upcoming Apple tablet then it definitely looks more like a gigantic iPhone and less like the iPod Touch. If this is the case though it doesn't seem to have a webcam - unless it's that extremely tiny hole in the upper left which would be unlikely. I don't think it's real.
Anyways... the big news today is that Apple's tablet could actually be causing 10-inch LCD and OLED display shortages. It's just a rumour at this point but it does seem quite plausible - especially considering that most netbooks use 10-inch LCD displays as well.
Update: According to Electronista, the Apple tablet actually may not have a front-facing camera / webcam at all. This means that the photo above could actually be the tablet... or a fake.

What you see above is part of Sony Ericsson's Greenheart range of phones. This is the Sony Ericsson "Faith" and it features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, European 3G connectivity, a QWERTY keypad, and Windows Mobile 6.5.3. We don't know if this'll make it to the market right now, so we'll just have to wait and see.

There's not much information to tell you here but it looks like Canada's Fido could be planning to launch the BlackBerry Curve 8520 by the end of this quarter. This would be great news for those on a budget since Rogers' contract prices could be a bit more expensive monthly for you. Unfortunately, it'll only be available in black.

I know you know about the Mobinnova Beam smartbook and it looks like AT&T will really be launching it - just like the rumours stated. The Beam smartbook features an 8.9-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, an ARM Cortex A9 1GHz CPU, Nvidia's Tegra 2 graphics, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of flash storage, an 8GB to 64GB SSD, an SD card slot, WiFi b/g, and possibly Windows CE with Android OS options as well. Unfortunately, Android doesn't support Flash right now so choose wisely.

O2 UK has just launched the HTC HD2 and you can get it for free on an 18 month or on a 24 month contract. That's not all though. In the UK, Virgin Mobile has also launched the HTC HD2. Their contracts are cheaper than O2's so maybe that's the better choice for you.

LG Shows Off 3,840 x 2,160 UHD TV
Damn, what you see above is a UHD (Ultra HD) TV from LG. All that we know about it so far is that it sports a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, which is a lot. That's 1080p x 2. There's really not much left to say but you can enjoy looking at the fruit.

Apple Looking To Launch the iPhone 4G In Early May?
We're now hearing that Apple's iPhone 4G (4th Generation) could be ready for an early May launch. This is likely to cut the sales of the Google Nexus One and to get rid of all this Android hype. Well, it's either that or because they're planning to introduce a new product (like their tablet) and they want to space out the different launches. In case you forgot Apple usually refreshes the iPhone line-up in June / July.

We're now hearing that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be available as soon as next month - at least in the UK. The rumoured launch will be on February 19th and it'll cost £550 ($885 USD) unlocked. That's definitely pretty expensive so let's hope a carrier decides to scoop it up and subsidize it for us.
