Samsung Behold II Headed To Verizon? Samsung Giving Away Behold II's For Free!

Labels: , , , , ,

There's a new rumour going around that the Android-based Samsung Behold II will be headed to Verizon in the future. If this is true I believe this could be the first Android handset that launches on two different carriers in the US - or in the world? The HTC Hero and Droid Eris is close, but it's not the exact same phone.

If you think the phone is not worth then you should probably head over to this link. You can register for a contest where they give away free Behold II's every hour. Try to win one!

Samsung Behold II Launching On T-Mobile USA On November 18th For $229

Labels: , , , , ,

T-Mobile has just mentioned that they'll be launching the Samsung Behold II on November 18th, which is next Wednesday. It'll be available for $199 if the rumours are true. In case you forgot, this handset features: a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, Android 1.5, aGPS / WiFi / 3G / Bluetooth support, and a microSD card slot.

Update: According to Slash Gear (and a bunch of other sites), this will actually be launching for $229.99 USD on a 2-year contract on November 18th - not for $199.

T-Mobile Launching the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the Samsung Behold II For $199 On Contract

Labels: , , , , , , ,

This leaked photo appears to be what the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the Samsung Behold II prices will be when they launch. Both prices will be the exact same for both handsets: $199.99 USD on a 2-year contract and $449.99 contract-free. The big shocker is that the Behold II will be launching for $199.99 since we've been hearing a couple of times that'll be launched for $249.99 on 2-year contract. But, trust me, I'm not complaining about it being a bit cheaper - even though it should probably be $179 or, even better, $149.

Don't forget that the Behold II should be made official tomorrow.

T-Mobile Officially Announcing the Android-Based Samsung Behold II On November 12th

Labels: , , , , , ,

It looks like T-Mobile is just about ready to officially unveil and announce the Android-based Samsung Behold II. This event will take place on November 12th, just like it says, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. so mark that on your calendars if you're interested. You shouldn't be expecting much since we know all about it already. The Behold II features: a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, aGPS / WiFi / 3G support, and 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot.

Let's hope T-Mobile really doesn't plan to launch it for $249.99 on a 2-year contract, because that's overpriced... especially with the Verizon Motorola DROID at just $199.99 starting tomorrow, November 6th.

T-Mobile Delaying the BlackBerry Bold 9700? Launching For $199? Samsung Behold II Coming For $249 On November 18th

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

According to Boy Genius, they're hearing that T-Mobile is delaying the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 a little bit. They're also hearing that when it does launch it'll be available for $199 on a 2-year contract and $449 contract-free. On the other hand, the Samsung Behold II - with Android and its 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display - will, supposedly, be launching on November 18th with an overpriced $249.99 price tag on a 2-year contract.

T-Mobile Launching the Tap on November 11th and the Samsung Behold 2 On November 18th

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

It looks like this leaked screenshot tells us that the Samsung Behold 2 will be launching on November 18th via T-Mobile. This Android-based handset should be pretty desirable with its: 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, microSD card slot, and 5MP AF camera.

The other handset that looks like it will get launched is the T-Mobile Tap. We heard about this handset just a couple of weeks ago and we know that it is the Huawei U7510. This handset looks like it will be debuting on T-Mobile as early as November 11th.

Android-Based Samsung Behold 2 Passes FCC, Headed To T-Mobile With Small 1,000 mAh Battery and 5MP Camera

Labels: , , , , , ,

So we've seen the Samsung Behold 2 before, so this is nothing new. We've seen it at the WiFi Alliance, on Samsung's own website (hidden), and Bluetooth SIG; and now it has just passed the last step, gaining FCC clearance. The Behold 2 looks like it will have: a touchscreen display with a 240 x 400 resolution, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / WiFi / aGPS support, GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/1900 MHz) / AWS WCDMA/HSPA connectivity, and a measly 1,000 mAh battery.

This phone is headed to T-Mobile, but we still don't know when. It looks like it could be on the cheaper end of the stick, so that will be good news to some consumers.

Samsung Behold 2 Gets Bluetooth SIG Certificate

Labels: , , , , ,

T-Mobile will be launching another Android-based handset the Samsung Behold 2, codenamed SGH-T939. The design description is the best part of this Bluetooth SIG sheet. It states that this handset will have a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, WiFi support, and "access to Google Mobile services and full web browsing at blazing speeds."

T-Mobile Samsung SGH-T939 Behold2 Runs Android

Labels: , , , , , ,

It basically confirmed itself. "That SGH-T939 Behold2 spotted in the WiFi Alliance's documents turns out to be Android-equipped without question, seeing how its user agent profile -- found on Samsung's own site -- lists its browser as 'Android Browser.'" Since the original Behold launched on T-Mobile it's a safe bet that the Behold2 will also launch on T-Mobile. I guess this is the replacement for the HTC Hero, since y'know T-Mobile won't be launching it. Let's see if it's just as good though. Price and availability are still unknown.

Samsung SGH-T939 / Behold2 Gets WiFi Interoperability Certificate

Labels: , , ,

Like the Samsung InstinctQ M900, the Behold2 SGH-T939 has just gotten a Wi-Fi Interopability Certificate. The specs of the successor to the original Behold - that was released last holiday season - have not been mentioned yet, but it should be safe to say that it will have WiFi b/g, 3G, and at least a 5MP camera. It'll hit T-Mobile eventually, but the pricing and release date have not been mentioned yet.
