We already knew it was on the way and Fido has just released it. The Canadian carrier has just released the LG Optimus 2X. This smartphone runs Android 2.2 and will reportedly get an upgrade to 2.3 soon. This features a 4-inch display, a Tegra 2 CPU, a microSD card slot, an 8MP camera, and WiFi / Bluetooth support. A few days ago, it was leaked that Fido would be getting 3 new phones soon and one of them will be the LG Optimus 2X. Today's leak tells us that the smartphone will be available on the Canadian carrier for $100 on a 3-year contract, $375 on a 2-year contract, and $425 contract-free. It's a decent price and should be available soon.

Looks like Fido in Canada is set to release a bunch of new Android phones in the future. As you can see, it'll be the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pro, the LG Optimus 2X, and the Samsung Galaxy Q. The XPERIA Pro features a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz CPU, and an 8MP camera. The Optimus 2X packs a 4-inch display, a dual-core 1GHz CPU, an 8MP camera, a front-facing camera, and could actually be available in a few days. Last, but not least, there's the Galaxy Q. The picture confirms that it won't be a behemoth of a phone. Instead it features a 3.2-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and Android 2.2.

Looks like Fido may have a new smartphone up their sleeve to match the Nexus S that they're currently carrying. According to the picture you see above, they could be planning to release to release the LG Optimus 2X. We don't know when but it could be soon. WIND Mobile Releases the LG Optimus 2X and the Huawei U6150

WIND Mobile has brought two phones to Canada today and they're the LG Optimus 2X and the Huawei U6150 which we knew would be launching soon. Obviously, the phones are priced at $445 and $98, respectively, contract-free. The Optimus 2X is clearly the better phone packing a 4-inch display, a Tegra 2 CPU, and the Android 2.2 OS. WIND Mobile has just put the prices of two of their upcoming phones on their own website. The first one is the LG Optimus 2X which will cost you $450, while the Huawei U6150 will cost you just $98. Of course, both are contract-free so they're definitely pretty good deals. The Optimus 2X is one that you should look out for since it features a dual-core CPU along with a 4-inch display and the Android OS.

WIND Mobile looks like they're set to launch their best Android phone to date, the LG Optimus 2X. The smartphone will be hitting the carrier soon and it'll likely cost around $529 contract-free. In case you forgot, the smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA display, a Tegra 2 CPU, WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS support, an HDMI output, a front-facing camera, an 8MP camera, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2.

Rogers Getting the LG Optimus Pad, 2X, and the 3D This Year

According to Mobile Syrup's tipsters Rogers will be bringing two new LG devices to Canada later this year. The first one is the one above which is the LG Optimus Pad. This 8.9-inch tablet runs Android "Honeycomb" and will reportedly be available on May 10th which is just a few weeks away. If you're willing to put on some glasses, you'll be able to watch 3D content and take 3D pictures and videos with its cameras. Inside you'll find 32GB of storage, WiFi support, and a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU.

The other handset is packing the same CPU and it's the LG Optimus 2X. This one will reportedly be available in late Q3 / early Q4 and it's quite the smartphone. This one features a 4-inch display, an 8MP camera that records 1080p Full HD video, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2 with a custom UI. Price is unknown for both devices right now.

Update: Mobile Syrup has also mentioned that the Canadian carrier will also release the LG Optimus 3D. Price is unknown right now but the smartphone should be available for the back-to-school season. This one packs a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display, a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2.

T-Mobile USA has just confirmed dates and prices for two of their upcoming smartphones. The Sidekick 4G will be available for $99.99 on a 2-year contract starting on April 20th and the G2x which is the LG Optimus 2X will be available online starting on April 15th for $199.99 on a 2-year. The G2x will also be available in stores starting on the 20th. Now, it's your decision, I'd go with the G2x since it's a higher-end smartphone.

The other big launch will be "soon" and it's the LG G-Slate which'll be the 3D "Honeycomb" tablet that we've seen a few times before. The latest rumour coming from TMoNews says that T-Mobile may be announcing two LG devices at CTIA. T-Mobile will apparently be launching the 8.9-inch LG G-Slate and the G2x (Optimus 2X) at the event and it'll all actually be available on April 20th. At least that's what the rumour mill is saying. The only way to find out if this is true is waiting for CTIA which is just around the corner.

LG Optimus 2X and Optimus Black Up On Amazon Germany For €499, Can't Buy One Yet

Amazon Germany has just put up two new Android-based smartphones from LG on their online website. Like the title says, it's the LG Optimus 2X (above) and the Optimus Black (below) - they're here and here, respectively. They're not available to purchase right now but they're both priced at €499 ($680 USD). Both of these smartphones are pretty great. They're both sporting 4-inch WVGA displays, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, and Android 2.2. The Optimus 2X sports a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset along with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, while the Optimus Black is the world's thinnest smartphone at 9.2mm and also features a 2MP front-facing camera and WiFi Direct capabilities which is quite a new technology. Pretty impressive from LG which is something they're going to have to do after announcing their poor Q4 results.

It's headed to Korea in January 2011 but that won't be the only place it hits. There's a new rumour going around that the world first Tegra 2 powered smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X, could be hitting T-Mobile USA by March or 2011. This means that we'll be seeing more of this handset at both CES and MWC in 2011 which is definitely great news. This handset has already raised the high-end smartphone bar with both a Tegra 2 CPU and an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities so you expect this to be a standard set of features for the rest of 2011.

This is actually available for you to pre-order right now for 3099KR on a contract which is $453 USD but if you're looking to get this contract-free then it'll cost you a whopping 4999KR which is right around $731 USD. Quite a bit to pay, but if you really want the first Tegra 2 powered smartphone then this might be the superphone to get - if you have the money.
