It looks like Dell has just mentioned in a catalog that they're launching a new Studio very soon - it'll be the Studio 1558 Touch. As you can see in the picture above (and the text) it'll sport a touchscreen display. Of course, it'll be packing the new Intel Core i5 CPU and there'll be a 320GB HDD along with Windows 7. It'll launch for $999. The official announcement should be in the next couple of days - or maybe even later today.

Update: It looks like that catalog also had the Studio 1749 Touch notebook in there as well. This is the Studio with a 17-inch touchscreen display. Of course, we've heard about this one already.

Dell has just unleashed a bunch of new products. Above are the new Dell Studio's which come in 14, 15, and 17-inch models. They'll be available later this month for $699, $849, and $949, respectively. They've also introduced the Inspiron 580 / 580s desktop PCs; they'll start at $269 and they're highly customizable. They've also unveiled a new desktop PC, the Studio XPS 8100, which includes a brand new Intel Core i5 CPU. This desktop will start at $749. Check them out here.

Dell has also updated their existing Alienware notebooks as well. The M15x and M17x can now be bought with the new Intel Core i5 / i7 CPUs. Along with this they have unveiled the new OptX AW2310 monitor which has support for Nvidia's 3D Vision technology. It's got a Full HD 1080p resolution, a contrast ratio of 80,000:1, 120Hz technology, 400 nits of brightness, HDMI / DVI ports, audio jacks, and four USB 2.0 ports. You can go out and get this monitor now for $499.

WiMAX it pretty rare right now, being in only a couple of places, specifically: Atlanta, Balitomore, and Portland. Dell looks to be preparing for the future by issuing a new WiMAX option to their Studio 15, Studio 17, and Studio XPS laptops. Keep in mind that if you do happen to get WiMAX, you will be paying a monthly cost from Sprint for the extra speed, so it may or may not be worth it right now.

It's no surprise that companies are testing Android to see if it is worthy for the netbook market. Well, the news is steam-rolling towards a possible Dell netbook. Bsquare issued a press release about Dell's supposed netbook without revealing any specific details. You can read the press release below, thanks to Gizmodo:

Dell has finally launched the Studio 15 laptop. The laptop has a 15-inch 720p capable LED-backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, Intel's Core 2 Duo CPUs, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics card, 2MP webcam, optical drive, WiFi, and 3GB of DDR2 RAM. It also has: 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, gigabit Ethernet, audio in / out, FireWire, and an ExpressCard slot.

The base price is $649 USD and you get an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz CPU, and 3GB of DDR2 RAM. This laptop has a lot of different options, since it is a Dell. The Studio 15 laptop has optional: Blu-ray, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA connectivity. The HDDs also have a bunch of different sizes: up to 320GB at 7,200rpm and 500GB at 5,400rpm. Sorry for pounding you with specs, but I just thought you'd like to know a brief rundown without hitting the official site. I like the way the laptop looks, but I want a laptop with a long battery life, so I probably won't be looking at this. Go check it out on Dell's official site.

Update: Thanks to a tweet on Twitter, I must clarify that the Studio 15 is just a relaunch which includes the revamped screen. The only thing they have changed is that the screen is 720p (1,366 x 768 resolution) capable and is now LED-backlit.

It kind of sucks if you don't live in Germany this Summer. The Toshiba TG01 smartphone with the infamous 4.1-inch touchscreen will be hitting Germany exclusively through O2 this Summer. The TG01 has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU inside its small 9.9mm body. It runs on a customized Windows Mobile Pro and we will see if it receives any complaints. Like i said, the TG01 will be hitting Germany through O2 this Summer, but i forgot to mention that they will be selling the white model. There is no word on the price or the exact release date. Oh yeah, also no word on when the black model will be sold.

The Dell Studio 15 laptop will have its very own special edition model. It will rock a so-called "Black Vapor" paintjob and has a 1,440 x 900 resolution on its gorgeous LED-backlit display. You have a couple of options here, including: Pentium Dual Core or Core 2 Duo processors and Intel's integrated GMA 4500MHD or an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 graphics card. You also get a 320GB HDD with up to 4GB of RAM. These special editions will range in price from $799 USD - $949 USD which isn't too expensive.

At CeBIT, a new gaming laptop was found utilizing Intel's Core i7. It is the Clevo D900F and it's a massive laptop. The screen is a 17.1-inch WUXGA display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. It will also have an integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam, a TV tuner and an HDMI slot. You can view Engadget's gallery on this laptop here . If you bother to look at them, you will notice that this thing must be pretty darn heavy. It is really thick, so i don't think it's too "portable."

If you're used to using Google Gears for some of your Google Offline needs, here is another one to add to the list. If you have Google Gears installed on your computer, you will be able to use Google Calendar Offline. It is still in beta, but i don't think it really matters since Gmail is still in beta.

As you may know, Microsoft Office 14 is not being released this year, but you could have your chance to try it out before this year ends. Microsoft could be releasing a public beta for Office 14 by the end of this year. The new Office will have online access (similar to Google Documents) meaning it will be able to function in a browser. You will possibly be able to share stuff on Office 14 with others, by using its online capabilities.
