Dell Unveils the Studio XPS 7100 Desktop PC, Packing New AMD Phenom II X6 CPU Options

Labels: , , ,

AMD has just announced their latest desktop processors and Dell appears to be first in line with their Studio XPS 7100. The base model goes for $699, but it's sporting integrated graphics which don't belong in desktop PCs. The $1,199 is definitely more favourable. It packs the new AMD Phenom II X6 1050T CPU (Engadget points out that this is comparable to the Core i5-760 CPU), ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics, and 6GB of RAM.

The even more powerful Phenom II X6 1090T will be accompanied by the ATI HD 5970 GPU and that'll be found in the Studio XPS 8100. This one won't be available until the Summer, so it's not that long of a wait.
