Samsung's DROID Charge Will Be Available On Verizon On April 28 For $299
Verizon has finally announced that the Samsung DROID Charge will be available soon. The official release date is now pegged for April 28th if you're willing to give up $299.99 on a 2-year contract for it. The expensive price tag isn't exactly justified because of what you get: a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, the Android OS, an 8MP AF camera with an LED flash, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 1GHz CPU, and 4G (LTE) connectivity. If it was a dual-core CPU then I'd understand but it's just a basic single-core 1GHz CPU so the Thunderbolt might be the one to get. Anyways, the choice is yours.

After all the rumours, the official price date has just been announced. Asus will be bringing its Eee Pad Transformer to North America on April 26th for just $399, which is a great price for what you get. The tablet itself features a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, 16GB of internal storage, dual cameras, and Android "Honeycomb". There'll also be a $499 model which will have 32GB inside.
Of course, if you want to turn it into a "real" Transformer, then you can opt to get an optional keyboard dock for it which will cost an extra $150. This is definitely a great netbook replacement and I'm actually thinking about picking one of these up.

Sony Ericsson has finally announced their long-rumoured Walkman Android phone, the W8. This one looks pretty similar to the XPERIA X8, but it's got a nice colour scheme to it, this one's black and red. The W8 features mid-end specs like: a 3-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.2MP camera, a 600MHz CPU, and Android 2.1 with a custom UI.
Kind of sad that the company couldn't use "Gingerbread" or even version 2.2 of the OS but I guess we'll have to live with it. Price and release dates are still unknown for this one.

A new model of the Motorola XOOM has just hit the FCC and it's perfect for AT&T in the US since it has 3G 850/1900MHz bands. Of course, this tablet is also available in Canada so it could also be available shortly up North as well. This tablet will be a 3G "Honeycomb" tablet that'll of course also have WiFi so if you're willing to pay a monthly data contract for Internet access everywhere then you may want to wait for this one. Check it out at the FCC.

Thanks to Google AdWords we now know a possible release date for HTC's Sensation 4G which is headed to T-Mobile USA. Of course, this is unconfirmed right now but it should be launching at or around that date. It could be a placeholder date so just mark the date in pencil on your calendar.
