Looking to get Verizon's latest 4G smartphone? Then, there's some good news for you. The carrier has just released the Samsung DROID Charge for $299.99 on a 2-year contract if you're interested. This smartphone features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED+ display, a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot (32GB preloaded), an 8MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 3,0 support, LTE, and Android 2.2.

Verizon has actually released two phones today which is pretty amazing. There's the Casio G'zOne Commando and the DROID Incredible 2 which are both running the Android OS. They're both available right now for $199.99 if you're willing to sign up for a 2-year contract.

The first handset is expensive because it's a rugged handset; other than that it's a mid-end touchscreen phone. The DROID Incredible 2 is just the Incredible S in a disguise and Verizon-branding. It's a decent upgrade over the last model but, sadly, still houses a 1GHz CPU. Check them both out on Verizon whenever you want to.

Verizon has finally announced that the Samsung DROID Charge will be available soon. The official release date is now pegged for April 28th if you're willing to give up $299.99 on a 2-year contract for it. The expensive price tag isn't exactly justified because of what you get: a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, the Android OS, an 8MP AF camera with an LED flash, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 1GHz CPU, and 4G (LTE) connectivity. If it was a dual-core CPU then I'd understand but it's just a basic single-core 1GHz CPU so the Thunderbolt might be the one to get. Anyways, the choice is yours.

Verizon employees may be happy or sad right now because it looks like their training for the Samsung DROID Charge right now. Unfortunately, we still don't know when it'll be available but at least we know that it should be in the next few weeks. Furthermore, this handset will reportedly support up to 10 devices with its WiFi hotspot capabilities. Make sure you have about $299 handy though, because that's the rumoured price for this one.
