According to an e-mail, Sprint will be holding training events for the BlackBerry Tour. This is solely because Sprint is launching the BlackBerry Tour in 2 days. Along with the Tour, it looks like Sprint will also be launching a new BlackBerry "Inferno" 8330 and a new red Curve 8350i. The new colour lines up with what I talked about 2 days ago.

According to this photo of the long-awaited BlackBerry Onyx aka BlackBerry 9020, it's got an optical trackpad. Clearly, they've subbed out last year's trackball for optical goodness. A good move for BlackBerry, they'll probably push more optical trackpad BlackBerries in the future. The release date for this BlackBerry is still not available.

HP has already added upgrades to their Mini 110 netbook before, so here's another one for you all. HP has just added a new display option to the netbook. The new 1,366 x 768 resolution display will also have anti-glare, so that's always good. It will cost an extra $30 USD, but it's worth it - especially when there's a $30 USD off coupon if you click on this Portable Monkey link.
In Canada, Rogers will be offering the HP Mini 110 netbook for $299.99 CAD ($258 USD) on a 2-year contract. The Mini 110 netbook will have regular specs - that is, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD - but will be outed with 7.2Mbps HSPA support aka 3.5G. The data plan will start at $25 CAD a month and will include only 500MB per month. Boy Genius suggests that if you do take this deal, you might as well choose something more expensive than that.

If you wish to purchase the Pre with your card, you're going to have to fork over a little bit more - 30,200 pesos - according to the seller, which is Gadget Grocery. The full specs of the Palm Pre are covered on Gadget Grocery here, so just go and check it out now!
Update of July 27th: According to the latest Electronic Pulp post, the Palm Pre is actually not available in the Philippines. It was recently pulled off of Gadget Grocery's website and actually may not see a release in the Philippines for a while. Sorry about the confusion, but hopefully it'll pop up again for all of you filipinos out there.

Instead of the rumoured June 29th release date, it looks like XBLA will get Marvel vs Capcom 2 a month later - on July 29th. The PSN release date is still MIA, but Capcom has promised that the announcement for that will be soon. On XBLA, this classic will be priced at $15 USD, so let's hope PSN gets the same - or lower - price.

While the Sony Vaio P is sexy, it fails performance-wise. A Sony rep has mentioned that the sales of the first Vaio P haven't gone "through the roof", but they are, in fact, selling. The rep also mentioned that they are releasing a new Vaio P "mark 2" ultraportable later this year - October or November. Hopefully the second time around, the Vaio P will be cheaper and will be better in terms of performance. Nothing is known about this new Vaio P scheduled to be available in late Fall.

Besides that, it's got: a 13.3-inch WXGA display, an Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn-class ULV CPU, 3GB of RAM, up to a 250GB shock-mounted HDD, Draft-N WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, an optional 3.75G HSUPA module, and has a battery long enough to last 8 hours. Just in case you want more battery life, you can sub out the optical drive for a second battery that will give you around 50% more battery life. Goodness gracious! This rugged notebook is available now and has an MSRP of $1,799 USD.

According to some people at AT&T, the Sony Ericsson C905a will be launched on July 19th. I've never covered the specs of the C905a, but I might as well, since it is apparently going to launch in just over a week. The C905a has: an 8MP AF camera with a xenon flash and 30fps QVGA video recording, a 2.4-inch display with a 240 x 320 resolution, a Memory Stick Micro card slot, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + A2DP, and USB 2.0 connectivity. Unfortunately, the price still hasn't been mentioned.

"Call of Duty" Shows Up On A Modern Warfare 2 Box Shot

You may or may not remember, but the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has gotten its name changed a bunch of times. After reportedly dropping the "Call of Duty" name, Infinity Ward mentioned that the game will strictly be called Modern Warfare 2. Well, it looks like Infinity Ward has decided to place the "Call of Duty" name back into the title. This is probably because they don't want to confuse any consumers - because y'know, it could. Anyways, I guess that's what the box cover will look like when it launches later this year - November 10 to be exact.
