Here's the first couple of pictures of the Samsung Instinct HD / Dash / S50 in the wild. There's not really much else to say here, but for more photos you can take a look at the Phone Arena link below.

Whatever the name is (Samsung Instinct S50 / M850 Dash / Instinct HD), a recent Best Buy ad labels it as the Samsung Instinct HD. In this ad, some of the specs are confirmed as well. So, this Instinct has: a 5MP camera with video recording, WiFi support, instant access to Facebook, MySpace, and Youtube, and the ability to play HD video with its TV output. It looks like it will be a Best Buy exclusive and could be out anywhere from today until September 26th if you read the find price. Unfortunately, the price and exact availability is unknown at the time, but you will need to get an "Essentials Message & Data plan or an Everything Plan with Data," just like the fine print says.

Update: Unwired View has just reminded me that the Samsung Instinct HD will be released on Sprint.

Samsung's Instinct S50 has gotten a bunch of name changes. First, it was dubbed the M850 Dash, then the Instinct S50, then the Instinct HD, and now, again, the Instinct S50. We don't really care what the name is at this point, but what you should know is that it's expected to launch on Sprint in mid-September. This is awfully close to the September 8th release date that we heard just four days ago.

The other Samsung Instinct handset that will launch this year is the InstinctQ M900. This could be Sprint's first Android phone and it looks like it could be available sometime in Novemeber. It's a bit later than the October 11th rumour we heard about in late July, but this is just a rumour as well.

So much for the September 3 rumour, the latest one outlines that the Samsung Instinct s50 / M850 Dash will be available on September 8th - on Sprint. According to Phone Arena's article, Sprint could be actually launching this handset as the Instinct HD. At this point, I have no clue why the "HD" was slapped on the name, seeing how this phone doesn't have an HD display or HD video recording capabilities so I guess they just ran out of names.

Sprint's Samsung M850 Dash just passed the FCC yesterday and now we have our first hands-on photo. As you can see it looks a little bit different than when we first heard about the handset back in March. The Dash is said to be a direct successor to the original Samsung Instinct, since the S30 (Mini) Instinct was basically just a redesign.

The Samsung Dash is rumoured to be available in the US via Sprint on September 3rd. Well, it looks like this could be a solid date since the Samsung Dash has just passed the FCC. The Samsung Dash is confirmed to have EVDO support, WiFi, and a microSD card slot. If the rumours are true, the rest of the specs are here.

Before today, we didn't have any firm evidence about the HTC Touch Pro 2 launching on Sprint on September 3rd, but we finally do now. Above is a picture of an internal document that outlines that a couple of phones will be available on the 3rd of September. Other than the HTC Touch Pro 2, it looks like the Samsung M240 / M330, LG Rumor 2, and Samsung Instinct s50 will be launching on this day as well.

The Instinct s50 is actually the Samsung Dash, so that could be a good or bad thing for you. An orange LG Rumor 2 will also be launching on this day and two other low to mid-end Samsung handsets will launch on that day as well. Anyways, the Touch Pro 2 is expected to launch for $299 USD on a 2-year contract.

On the first glance, the Samsung Dash (Samsung Instinct successor) really does impress. With its gorgeous 3.2-inch touchscreen display that sports a 320 x 480 resolution and its 5 megapixel camera, the Pre could be in some trouble. I lied. The Dash is lacking a physical QWERTY keyboard, going with the full touchscreen look instead. It also has a microSD slot, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The phone has a good spec sheet and will be released under Sprint in Q2 of this year. Of course, there is no word on the price of the phone, so just look out for it in the upcoming months.
