This handset features a 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a slide-up portrait QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2MP camera, a 528MHz CPU, a microSD card slot, a trackpad on the back, and Android 2.1. Virgin Mobile had a pretty good day today, they actually released three smartphones. The first two are above and it's the black and white BlackBerry Bold 9780. Yes, out of all the carriers in Canada, Virgin has actually become the first one to launch the white model. Check out the white model here and the black model here; they're both available for $124.99 on the 3-year SuperTab contract and $499.99 contract-free.
The other smartphone is what I think the better choice is. Virgin Mobile has also released the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant which features Android 2.1 underneath the Touchwiz 3.0 UI. It's packing a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 5MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi b/g/n / GPS support, a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, and a microSD card slot. Check it out on Virgin where it's going for $149.99 on a 3-year SuperTab contract and $499.99 contract-free.

At this point Rogers in Canada has already launched the black models of both the BlackBerry Bold 9780 and the BlackBerry Torch. Apparently though, they'll be launching white models of each of these smartphones which is great news because they both look quite sexy. I prefer my devices black, but I know there are people out there who love the white models. You can look out for them to launch soon.

Motorola's "Gingerbread" Tablet May Actually Launch Sometime This Month

It looks like there's a new rumour regarding a tablet from Motorola. Apparently, said tablet (possibly the MZ600) will be running Android "Gingerbread" and will be launching sometime this month. If this is true that means the next iteration of Android should be getting official soon and it also means that Motorola has decided not to wait for Honeycomb which will reportedly be "optimized for tablets". If this is true, I think this is the tablet that will be set to launch on Verizon in the US.

Samsung and Google's Nexus S Slightly Delayed So That They Can Give You a Dual-Core CPU

Coming from Android and Me is a new rumour regarding the Samsung made Nexus S that leaked a lot yesterday. Basically, this was leaked because it was supposed to hit Best Buy yesterday (or some time in the near future) but that won't be happening anymore because people high up weren't impressed with the hardware. Apparently, it will still be launching this year (with Gingerbread) and will actually be sporting a dual-core CPU so that it will trigger the dual-core war for smartphones next year. This will basically set the standard for the next wave of "superphones". Base specs should stay the same, but you expect a brand new CPU inside along with the upgraded OS.
Furthermore, the Google logo on the back of the Nexus S was actually added after the picture was taken so that the leak would look a bit more real. It's a good read and I suggest you click on through to read everything you need to know!
