According to some lucky guy, he received a Snow Leopard install disc with his latest Mac Mini. This disc is labelled Mac OS version 10.6, so it doesn't really say Snow Leopard on it - unless it says so at the top of the disc. According to the latest rumours though, Snow Leopard will be available on August 28th, so it's under a week away - if you believe it.

The phone that has got many names looks like it's on its way to Verizon stores across the nation. Yes, I'm talking about the long-awaited SCH-U960 / Glyde 2 / Rogue. This handset looks like it could be in popular demand and it's definitely upgrade from the last Glyde. It looks superb with its: touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, GPS support, a 3MP camera, and EV-DO Rev. A support. The launch should be very, very soon, so look out for it.

Back in July, this handset got the WiFi Alliance certificate and now we have a bit more information. According to the detail above, this handset will be a Linux-based smartphone that will feature a touchpad. This handset appears to be a full touchscreen phone so there's no physical keypad. Judging from the picture below, Fone Arena points out that there appears to be hinges at the top of the phone, so it could be a flip phone. We don't know at the time, so we'll just have to wait until we see more of this Linux-based handset.

Whatever the name is (Samsung Instinct S50 / M850 Dash / Instinct HD), a recent Best Buy ad labels it as the Samsung Instinct HD. In this ad, some of the specs are confirmed as well. So, this Instinct has: a 5MP camera with video recording, WiFi support, instant access to Facebook, MySpace, and Youtube, and the ability to play HD video with its TV output. It looks like it will be a Best Buy exclusive and could be out anywhere from today until September 26th if you read the find price. Unfortunately, the price and exact availability is unknown at the time, but you will need to get an "Essentials Message & Data plan or an Everything Plan with Data," just like the fine print says.
Update: Unwired View has just reminded me that the Samsung Instinct HD will be released on Sprint.
