Yesterday, Motorola already briefly pulled the curtain on the Milestone 2 but it looks like today was the official announcement. The Milestone 2's promo video is back up today, so you can check it out below. Back to what the phone has, nothing should be surprising because the Verizon DROID 2 is something to go by. That means the phone features a 3.7-inch display (480 x 854 resolution), an improved slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz TI OMAP SoC, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (8GB card in the box), and Android 2.2 with the company's own Blur skin. If you're interested, you can even use this device as a 5-device hotspot so that's pretty great if you want to use your laptop or something like that. This is going to be invading Europe in Q4 of this year (who knows if and when it will Canada though).

The Motorola DROID 2 has been available in the US for a while now and it looks like it will definitely be headed to a couple of places outside of the nation (like Europe and even Canada). Thanks to Motorola uploading a video on YouTube then quickly pulling it off, it should get just about official. Of course, it will be called the Milestone 2 and it should feature the same spec sheet: a 3.7-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz TI OMAP SoC, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera, and Android 2.2. Well, the launch is still unknown so we'll have to wait for some more information from Motorola.
