Yes, Sony Ericsson has finally announced the droid you might have been looking for, the XPERIA Play. This gaming handset will be launching in March and it'll be hitting Verizon in early Spring. Unfortunately, for us North American folks it looks like we won't be getting it first (possibly Eurasia first). At launch there'll be 50 titles available for you to play and they've even announced that there'll be multiplayer gaming which is pretty awesome.
This gaming handset officially features a 4-inch LED-backlit LCD display with a 480 x 854 resolution, a microSD card slot (8GB card included), WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, an Adreno 205 GPU, a slide-out gamepad, a 16mm thick body, and Android 2.3 with their custom UI.
