After months of waiting, HP has finally made their tablet official. Dubbed the Slate 500, this tablet features an 8.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display, an Intel Atom 1.86GHz Z540 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD, Broadcom's Crystal HD, a rear-facing 3MP camera, a front-facing webcam, and Windows 7 Professional. This tablet comes with a Wacom active digitizer, so you'll be able to use that if you don't want to use your fingers. In case you thought the Galaxy Tab from Samsung was expensive, HP's Slate will cost you $800.

After months of delays Rogers has officially announced that they'll be launching the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate on October 25th. Apparently, the delay was because of a shortage of Super AMOLED displays and "limited inventory." Either way, it's good to see that the wait will really will over in four days. Rogers has delayed this smartphone countless times at this point, but hopefully the 25th will really be the day. It'll be available for $149.99 on a 2-year contract and $549.99 contract-free.
