Labels: , , , ,

The roadmap you see above has just leaked out and it's clearly showing off Verizon's 3G smartphones. Some of them are going to be released anytime now, this includes the DROID X and the DROID 2. Some specs of the DROID 2 actually seem to be confirmed thanks to the roadmap, including 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8GB microSD card, a 1GHz CPU, and a 5MP camera. Thankfully, there also seems to be confirmation of being able to use the smartphone as a 3G mobile hotspot. This is all great news and you can look out for this smartphone in August.

Update: Sorry about the size of the picture, check out the whole leaked gallery on Boy Genius.

Velocity Micro Shows Off Their $199 Android-Based Cruz Reader, Cruz Tablet and StoryPad Coming Soon

Labels: , , , , ,

Back in April we heard about the Velocity Micro Cruz which turned out to be a 7-inch Android tablet. Well, it's been shown off once more and this time there's a video (below). The one you see here in the picture and the video is confusingly named the Cruz Reader, which Engadget points out is actually more of a "full-fledged tablet" since it has access to games, apps, and web-browsing - basically things a tablet should do. This will be retailing for $199 and should be available soon. You can also expect their Cruz Tablet running Android sometime in August and that will actually cost you $299. The Cruz Tablet will feature 4GB of internal storage, an SD card slot (8GB in the box), and Flash support. Velocity Micro will also be releasing a $149 StoryPad which is said to feature a spill-resistant case with some basic functionalities.
