It looks like Dell's Android-based Mini 3i that his China already will actually be headed to the US as well - no word on a Canadian launch. Interestingly enough, the Mini 3i will be launching with a slightly beefier 5MP camera, although it will still feel plasticky. To make things even dumber - on Dell's part - they'll be launching this handset "with modified or missing Android libraries, making it a bit harder to program. The tipster reported that some apps won't work on this version." We don't know the release details, so we'll just have to wait for them to announce it.

Update: According to Engadget, it looks like AT&T will be the one launching the Android-based Dell handset in 2010.

It looks like Motorola could really be skipping over WinMo 6.5 since they have just made it official that they're going to be stepping out of the Windows Mobile game for now. I think they'll be back for WinMo 7, but don't be surprised if you see none of their phones running Windows Mobile 6.5 - since that's what they're planning on doing.

If they keep making devices like the Droid / Tao / Sholes, I don't think anyone will care if they make no WinMo phones ever again.
