A bit earlier than expected, Canada has just got the Nokia 3710 on Telus. This handset is now available (here) for $49.99 on a 3-year contract, $79.99 on a 2-year contract, $129.99 on a 1-year contract, and $179.99 contract-free. I think that 3-year contract price is a bit high, but it's really up to you if you want to get it.
This flip phone features a 3.2MP camera with an LED flash, Bluetooth, aGPS support, and Nokia Maps.

If you believe this internal document above then Telus should be launching the Nokia 3710 on July 15th for $49.99 on a 3-year contract. The document also states that this is a flip phone that has a 3.2MP camera along with HSPA connectivity but we already knew that.

I don't know why Koodo Mobile in Canada would do this but to kick off their upcoming HSPA launch the first handset that will be available will be the entry-level Nokia 3710. I expected something better for a big launch, at least a BlackBerry, but I guess not. The HSPA launch is rumoured to be on May 18th, so at least the upcoming BlackBerry smartphones that they're going to launch will hopefully follow soon after with HSPA connectivity. The Nokia 3710 is supposedly going to launch for $200 contract-free.

A new Fido leak has just spilled out of a faucet and it pretty much tells us what they'll be launching in Q2 of this year. There'll be an HSPA+ model, the LG GW300, the Nokia X3, the Nokia 3710, and the Sony Ericsson Aspen. The most important thing about this leakage is that it states that the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 could be hitting the shelves on May 4th. There are a bunch of pictures in the link below, so be sure to check it out.

Well, here goes another mid-end flip phone handset from Nokia, the 3710a. This handset has just passed the FCC with GSM 850/900 and WCDMA 850/1900 bands, so it could be headed to AT&T. The Nokia 3710a has: a QVGA display, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, and aGPS / Bluetooth support. This handset will be running on the S40 UI, but we don't know when it will be available yet. If it gets launched on AT&T it'll be cheap, since it goes for around $200 unlocked overseas.
