Lenovo has just announced their latest notebook and it's another 11.6-incher. Dubbed the ThinkPad X120e, this notebook comes with AMD's new Fusion APU technology and also features Radeon HD 6310 graphics inside. You have your choice between the new AMD Zacate E-240 and E-350 CPUs which should be just fine for educational purposes. The company has made a few improvements in this notebook over the X100e that had a few problems. This notebook should now last 6.5-hours on a single charge (6-cell battery) and it also shouldn't burn your lap if you decide to rest this on there. This will be available in February and the base model will cost you $399.

A new leak has just outlined Alienware's latest notebook, the M17x R3. Apparently, this notebook will be a 17-inch model, ATI Mobility Radeon 6870 / 6970 GPU options, and even Wireless HD which is pretty awesome. Other specs are said to be an optional 3D display along with a 9-cell battery. CPU is unknown right now but you can expect a Core i7 of some kind inside of this. The release date is still unknown right now, but if it doesn't launch this year then you can expect it at CES 2011.

Fujitsu has introduced a new notebook today and it's the LifeBook AH530 GFX. This notebook packs a 15.6-inch display, Intel Core 2010 CPU options, an HDMI output, an optional Blu-ray drive (dual-layer DVD burner standard), a spill-resistant keyboard, and a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v GPU. These are some pretty great specs but the prices are still unknown. This should be available in black and blue later this month in Europe, the Middle East, and even Africa. AMD and Clevo are talking to each other and they're planning to release a notebook with the Athlon 64 X2 CPU and ATI Radeon HD 4570 graphics. This notebook is expected to have a "budget price" with "exceptional video performance" and "long battery life." This Clevo notebook will supposedly have an AMD M690G chipset, a full-sized keyboard, an optical drive, and a webcam. That's all we know for now, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Apple had problems with Nvidia's 9400 Series graphics and that is a big deal when it comes to Apple since they strive for perfection. Well, AMD has just announced that ATI's Radeon HD 4000 Series graphics are going to be used in Apple's iMac and Mac Pro desktop computers. In addition, "ATI says that its HD 4870 video card will be offered inside the Mac Pro computer and that its HD 4850 will be offered inside iMac systems." This is probably intended to be a standard

AMD has announced the new ATI FirePro 2450 graphics card which has quad-monitor support. "The FirePro 2450 comes equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, variable speed fan sink, maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 2.1 support, native PCI-E x16 and x1, and [like I said] support for up to four independent DVI or VGA monitors." That's incredible, seeing how it only takes up one PCI-E slot in you computer. "The new card consumes less than 18W on average for 2D business usage, and no more than 32W when fully stressed." The FirePro 2450 is now available for just $499 USD.

I don't know the speed of normal SSDs, but A-DATA is reportedly rolling out a "high-speed" SSD line for notebooks. "The 300 Plus series takes advantage of a new memory controller to maintain constant 250MB per second read speeds as well as 160MB per second while writing data. It also has an uncommonly large 64MB cache to keep the system fed with information even in characteristically slower sequential reads." There will be 4 versions of the SSDs: a 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and a 256GB. They will all be available soon, but A-DATA hasn't given a shipping date or a price for that matter.

If you can't manage to fork over at least $1,000 USD on LG's watch phone, you can always go for the alternative. The Hyundai MB-910 watch phone has a 132 x 176 resolution (which is slightly larger than LG's), but only has 65K colours. The Hyundai watch phone also has: a 400mAh battery (enough for 70 hours of standby / 3 hours of talk time), SMS, MMS, email, video / music playback, but it lacks 3G. A watch phone without 3G may not be as big as a loss as we think it is, since a watch phone is new technology and may not even entirely take advantage of 3G anyway. If you're still interested in this watch phone by Hyundai, you're looking at spending only £200 ($277 USD) and this includes a Bluetooth headset.
