HTC has just decided that today would be a great day to announce their latest smartphone. What you see above was just announced in South Korea and it's the Raider 4G. This one packs quite the spec sheet so we're hoping that the next Nexus can take some notes.
This one will be launching soon with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, an 8MP AF camera with an LED flash, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 16GB of storage, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, LTE, and Android 2.3 with the Sense 3.5 UI. This smartphone will be hitting SK Telecom before the end of the month and it should also find its way to AT&T before the end of the year.

Yet another Android smartphone from LG has leaked out and this is reportedly the Optimus EX. This smartphone is rumoured to pack a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, a fairly large touchscreen display, a 9.5mm thin body, and Android "Gingerbread". Yes, the specs are tough to find right now but LG should be gearing up to launch their new batch of smartphones soon since they already have the LU6200 which leaked a few days ago.

AT&T has just announced, briefly, that they'll be launching the Samsung Galaxy S II on October 2nd. They also announced that it'll cost you $199.99 on a 2-year contract. AT&T's announcement was made quietly so maybe they're gearing up for another smartphone - say, one from Apple? Who knows.

Apple Holding Event On October 4th, iPhone Announcement By Tim Cook
AllThingsD is reporting that Apple will finally be unveiling their next iPhone at a Fall event on October 4th. Of course, we should see other announcements as well so expect new iPods as well. The iPhone is expected to land around two weeks after the announcement and should expect iOS 5 around the same time. Tim Cook will be making the huge announcement so don't expect Steve Jobs to magically show up - they don't need him anymore. Mark it on your calendar!
