It looks like Bell is just about ready to launch their first Android-based handset of the year. It'll be from LG but it's not the Optimus 2X that is just pure awesome sauce. Instead, Bell in Canada has decided that they're going to release the LG Optimus Chic on January 14th for free on a 3-year contract and for $249.95 contract-free. The Chic features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 600MHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi support, DLNA, a microSD card slot (2GB in the box), and Android 2.2. It's just over a week away so it's definitely one of the better budget Android phones that Canada will have.
