Orange's Project JAL Is the ZTE Blade, Gets Official As the San Francisco
The ZTE Blade aka Orange's Project JAL has just been made official. Project JAL was just a codename for an Android handset that would be great for people on a budget. When it launches it'll be called Orange San Francisco - for reasons unknown. This handset packs a 3MP camera, 150MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3G connectivity, and Android 2.1. For a budget handset, this is a pretty decent spec sheet and it looks quite attractive. The launch date is still unknown but it's reportedly been delayed until the end of this quarter - so that means later this month I suppose.
