Confirming the myTouch 3G Slide's June 2nd release date is this brief timeline above. T-Mobile USA will start a "rolling launch" for the handset and demo phones won't appear in stores until the 7th. The ad campaign will begin on the 16th and you'll be seeing this handset everywhere you go. On the 19th, they'll be announcing something "BIG" but it's unknown exactly what this will be. Maybe it'll be an immediate update to "Froyo" which would be great.
Update: According to Unwired View, this handset will be getting updated to Android 2.2 "Froyo" extremely early. It'll be rolling out to T-Mobile employees sometime next week (when the handset gets released) for testing purposes - according to the latest rumour. Customers who buy this handset will get the update to "Froyo" in the second half of this year, which is anytime after July.
