Marvell Shows Off $99 Moby Tablet Prototype Running Android 1.6

Labels: , , , , ,

This morning, Marvell showed off a tablet prototype that was running Android. Let's hope that it gets the upgrade to at least version 2.0 when they release it. This tablet is being powered by an ARM-based Armada CPU so it's fully-capable of playing 1080p video. Of course, Marvell themselves aren't making the tablet, but they're hoping that they can push this tablet out by the end of the year.

Update: According to Engadget, this will be known as the Moby tablet and it'll launch for $99 which is really impressive. Especially considering that it'll supposedly have Flash support, WiFi / Bluetooth, an FM radio, GPS, 1080p video playback, and both Android and Windows Mobile OS's.
