Inbrics Reveals AMOLED MID With a QWERTY Keyboard, Runs Android

Labels: , , ,

Inbrics, a pretty much unknown company, has just revealed their latest handset at CES 2010. This is another MID, that looks like it could double as a phone. The Inbrics MID 1 has: an AMOLED touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an ARM Cortex A8 CPU, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth support, optiona 3G / WiMAX, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 3MP camera on the back, a front-facing VGA camera, and the Android OS. I assume this is the same MID we saw last November, so that means that it'll be hitting the US sometime this year - if everything goes according to plan.

Update: According to Engadget, this is actually the thinnest Android slider to-date - beating out the Motorola DROID / Milestone - at just half an inch thick (about 12.7mm I assume). They mentioned that the keyboard is actually really easy to type on (photo of it below). Since the CPU is clocked at 800MHz it can pump out 720p video easily. There's a video at the link below if you're interested. This MID / smartphone should be set for a March release date in the US.
