Last week, we heard rumours that BlackBerry would be launching a browser next Summer with Flash and Silverlight support. To add fuel to the fire, RIM has just bought Toronto-based Torch Mobile. This, in turn, will help them with their upcoming browser - since Torch Mobile has their own Iris Webkit browser. With this new acquisition, maybe RIM could deliver their new browser sooner rather than next Summer. Torch Mobile has also mentioned that they will no longer be "developing for Windows Mobile or Windows CE" so they're committed to RIM.
