Early in March, we saw
HTC's line-up for the year, and if you dig pretty deep, you'll find this phone on there. In late March, Orange revealed that they would launch the
HTC Hero before the end of the year, but the picture contained a pink version of this phone. Well, clearly, here's the black version of the HTC Hero which is planned to be released by the end of the year. Now, here's something interesting. A couple of weeks ago, I heard that the "chin" on the G1 and the HTC Magic was there so that the trackball would pop out more - or something like that. Well, the HTC Hero also has a "chin" but is also lacking the trackball, so I think this means that they are lying. Either that or they love this "chin" design, which come people are not a fan of. Anyways, of course this phone will have a touchscreen and, surprisingly enough, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. That's the only known specs right now, so we'll hopefully see a full spec sheet soon since we've just seen it "in the wild."
