Android "Cupcake" Early-SDK Now Available

Labels: , , ,

Google has released an early look for their upcoming "Cupcake" version of Android. The cupcake version will have a couple of changes / upgrades, including the on-screen keyboard. Electronista writes:

Other changes are equally major and add video recording along with playback outside of YouTube, Bluetooth stereo audio and a much faster web browser with support for copying and pasting text. Many user interface elements have also received minor updates, and developers can now readily create their own widgets in addition to those that have already come with Android.

Keep in mind that this early-look SDK is not the final version and "Cupcake" could first be introduced at T-Mobile's special event on April 21, later this month.

Android is shaping up to be a competitor in the Mobile OS world, but I'm waiting for the netbook version because an Android phone has yet to come out here in Canada.
