Google is working on extensions for Google Chrome and that is no surprise. But, something that did surprise me today is the fact that Google has recently published a Google Chrome extension tutorial for developers already. You can view the How-To Extension guide, via the Chromium Developer Documentation. The extensions reportedly have "Greasemonkey-like functionality: you identify which web pages should be modified, plus JavaScript to be added to those pages." "Right now, you can only load one JS file, but that could change in the future. You also can't currently load Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), but that might also change." I'm so excited for Google Chrome extensions because I believe it will boost their market share by a couple of percent.
