Sagem Puma Phone Hits Italy For €299, Promotion Could Win You €500

It looks like the Sagem Puma Phone has just hit at least one carrier in Europe. It looks PosteMobile, "an Italian MVNO that uses Vodafone's network", now has the handset for €299 ($360 USD). This handset sports a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, GPS / HSDPA support, and a solar panel on the back. PosteMobile also has a promotion (here) going on where you can win €500 ($603 USD) in "telephone traffic." Of course, if you don't want this model there'll be the Puma Phone 2 running Android next year.

Sagem Puma Phone Hits the FCC, Headed To Vodafone and Orange In Two Weeks

Sagem's Puma phone looks like it has just gotten clearance from the good ol' FCC (filing here). The filing confirms what we already know so that's a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, GPS support, and a solar panel on the back. Unfortunately, it won't be hitting the US until the first half of 2011. If you live in Europe you should be getting it real soon because it's expected to hit both Vodafone and Orange in the middle of May.

Sagem Launches the Puma Phone, Perfect For Athletes

Like we expected, the Puma Phone has just been announced and they teamed up with Sagem to manufacture the phone. It's got the solar panel on the back and reminds me of a Samsung Corby on the front. It's packing a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen QVGA display, a 3.2MP camera with an LED-flash, and GPS support. Of course, it's got a stopwatch, pedometer, and a GPS tracker just for you fit people out there. You can strap this one to your arm when you go out for a run. This handset will be available in Europe in April of this year - the price has yet to be mentioned.

Puma Phone Being Unveiled At MWC

You may know the company, Puma, they made athletic stuff (shoes, etc.). It looks like we'll be able to add a new product to their list and who would've guessed that they'd be hopping in the phone business. Let's hope this is a one time thing. The Puma phone will reportedly feature a touchscreen display, GPS support, video chat support, a stopwatch, a camera, and a solar panel on the back. You can clearly see the solar panel in the above picture - since that's the back of the handset. Of course, it'll also feature things like a pedometer, bike / run tracking applications, instant messaging, a sports news app, and a "music turntable." It looks a bit Palm Pre-ish to me.
