Canada's Telus Releases the Motorola Brute i680 Rugged Handset For $230

As a warm-up, Telus has just released the Motorola Brute i680 flip phone handset for $229.99 on a 3-year contract and for $429.99 contract-free. This handset is expensive because it's a military-certified rugged handset. Its got a basic spec sheet though, including a 1.3-inch external display, a 2.2-inch internal display, a 2MP camera, GPS / Bluetooth support, and a non-standard 2.5mm headphone jack. Go and pick yours up here. You can always wait for the Milestone if you want though.

Rugged Motorola i680 Flip Phone Hits Sprint For $120

Well, a new handset has just hit Sprint, it's the rugged Motorola i680 that passed the FCC way back in November. This flip phone has a Military 810F Grade for ruggedness and features: a 2.2-inch internal display with a 176 x 220 resolution, an external display with a 120 x 160 resolution, GPS / Stereo Bluetooth support, a 2MP camera with a flash, 180MB of internal memory, and a memory card slot. Check it out online for $119.99 USD on a 2-year contract.

Motorola i680 Passes FCC, Rugged Flip Phone Handset

A new Motorola handset has just passed the FCC, but it's probably nothing you'll think about purchasing. This is the Motorola i680 and it's a flip phone that has some ruggedness to it. The specs are still unknown. As usual, the FCC filing is here.
