MSI Pushes Out Four New LED-Backlit and Eco-Friendly Monitors

Labels: , , , , , , ,

A couple of new Asus monitors as a part of their Designo Series have just made their way onto the scene. There's four of them in total: MS208, MS228, MS238, and the MS248. They're all fairly eco-friendly which is great thing since they're all sporting LED-backlit displays. The lowest end is, of course, the smallest number which is the MS208. It's sporting a 1,600 x 900 resolution along with a 5ms response time. The other three models sport a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and the MS228 sports an HDMI audio-out port. The MS238 and the MS248 throw in an earphone jack as well.

The MS228 will be going for AU$499, while the MS238 will be going for AU$599. Unfortunately, we don't know when they'll be launching and we don't know the prices of the other two models.

Asus has just revealed new monitors as a part of their Designo MS Series. These 5 new monitors - the MS246, MS236, MS226, MS227, and MS202 - are measuring in at just 16.5mm thick and range from 20 to 23.6 inches. Most of these models have: a 2ms response time, 250 nits of brightness, and a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The lone model - the MS202 - has a 5ms response time and a 1,600 x 900 resolution. However, the top three models also have a Full HD resolution and an HDMI input. The MS227 monitors has a 22-inch display with a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution. The price hasn't been mentioned yet, but you can check out what Asus had to say here.

Update on September 24th: According to Slash Gear, these monitors will be available starting next week in the UK - however there is still no word on a US release date, if there is one. The largest model, the MS246, will be available for around 244 pounds ($400 USD).
