Apple Tablet (iPad?) Possibly Pictured (Twice!), Bringing OLED, Webcam and More For $600?

Everything's going to be official in a couple of hours (13:00 EST / 10:00 PST), but there's been word of Jason Calacanis being one of those beta testers for the glorified Apple tablet. These photos above and below are unconfirmed but they're looking pretty legit. Apparently, this tablet will be going for $599, $699, and $799 on contract [with Verizon and AT&T] and it'll go for $1,000 contract-free. This tablet will reportedly feature a 9 to 10-inch OLED display and will have an aluminum back - similar to their MacBook Pros. There appears to be a front-facing webcam for those video conferencing needs of yours - and Jason actually "confirmed" this. The battery like is reportedly "great" when reading but only lasts 2 to 3 hours with WiFi gaming which is a big let down. Everything you need to know is below - it's what Calacanis said.   • It's "the most amazing device ever"
  • It's "really amazing for newspapers"
  • Video conferencing is "super stable"
  • Battery life is "great" when it comes to reading ebooks but not so great (2-3 hours) in Wi-Fi mode or when playing games
  • Tailor-made games are "sick", on Wii level
  • The customised Farmville app (which Jobs is going to demo tomorrow with the CEO of the company behind it) is "insane"
  • The tablet will be offered by Verizon and ATT
  • It will cost $599, $699 or $799, depending on the screen size and internal memory


Update: According to Fone Arena, the tablet actually made a brief appearance on Apple Canada's website. It's been caught named the iPad - now is this what it will be called?


Update: Crunch Gear is calling fake on this one (some of the rumours and pictures) so I guess we'll have to take a wait and see approach.
