Microsoft Announces Free Online Office 2010, Testing Starts Now; Leaked To Torrents

Labels: , , ,

Microsoft's Monday announcement has just been, well, announced. Like the second rumour we heard, Microsoft announced that Office 2010 will have a free online suite, similar to Google Docs and Zoho. The online aspect will include the likes of Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and OneNote and will be available for free to anyone with a Live account. The "semi-private" testing begins today. I don't how this will affect the launch of the Google Chrome OS, but I guess Microsoft thinks it will do some damage.

Update: According to Crunch Gear, Microsoft Office 2010 has been leaked to torrents. It's still a beta, so take caution. I'm downloading it as we speak though... I mean, no I'm not not...
